We rested in this hotel from August 4.2014 to August 18.2014. The ticket was bought in Virginia Suite 4 *. We arrived on August 4 at 12:30. We were registered at the reception (the girls at the reception already twisted their faces when they saw that we were to be settled in 4 * buildings (as far as we know, Russians are very rarely accommodated there)). We were not immediately settled, they said to wait for 14:00, but we were not upset, because we knew about it. At this time, lunch had just begun, and we decided to go to dinner. And here was our first disappointment - a very small restaurant, and this is for two hotels 3 * and 4 *. The staff is barely moving, not in a hurry to remove the plates, dirty tablecloths, dirty capes on the chairs, there are not enough tables. food: Breakfast is the same every day, there is nothing to eat: boiled eggs, sausages or fried bacon, an omelette as if it had been ground in a blender (in a word, porridge), empty croissants, breakfast cereals, cheese and sausage are not edible, there are impossible, sometimes they fried eggs, small pancakes (like pancakes), but they had to stand in line for them, chocolate paste, honey, jam. Drinks: water, such as juices (lemon and orange, reminiscent of diluted UPI) in the cooler (there is one for the whole restaurant). It is strictly forbidden to draw water from the cooler into the bottle. Tea, coffee, milk (diluted with water). Many came with their tea leaves. Lunch - the choice of dishes is not great, there is practically no meat (it always ended quickly), french fries, pasta, baked eggplant (bitter), boiled pasta, gravy with minced meat, boiled vegetables (broccoli, cauliflower, carrots), the sea was served every other day products - mussels in sauce (nothing like that, you can eat it), baked fish in some kind of sauce (if some dish runs out, they are in no hurry to bring it on time - you can wait from 5-10 minutes). Huge queues for hot food. There was soup, standing in some kind of cans, but we never tried it. I watched once how the waitress poured soup from some kind of plastic container there, and even so not carefully that she partially spilled it past. We observed vegetables very rarely, mostly there were some salads unknown to us, which we did not want to eat for an unsightly appearance, as later, by the end of the vacation, we found out that one of them was a Greek salad. Sometimes sliced cucumbers, bell peppers. There were always chopped fresh carrots and onions in a bowl. Tomatoes were cut separately, they looked like they were cut 2 days ago and kept warm. We did not eat them, we were afraid to get poisoned. There was practically no fruit, mostly chopped and mixed together (grapes, weathered apples, chopped bananas, oranges, peaches, melons). It feels like the kitchen staff cooks not for people, but for pigs. Sometimes watermelon was served, but it was necessary to have time to take it, people immediately flew at it and quickly sorted it out. Ice cream for 2 weeks ate only a couple of times. In order to enjoy ice cream, one had to defend a huge queue of people who wanted to. Drinks: water, juice, soda - had to be taken at the bar, also standing in line. Once they poured water with the smell and taste of some kind of medicine. We tried local alcoholic drinks once, and did not try again. The wine is diluted with water, the husband took metaxa once - they poured normal, the second and third times it was a blue and green liquid. Husband didn't even try. . Alcoholic drinks (wine and metax) were bought at the supermarket, if you walk towards Rhodes, about 10 minutes. We also bought bottled water, since the hotel does not give it, and it's "all inclusive". Dinner: Not much different from lunch. With drinks the same situation as in the afternoon. Accommodation: we were settled in room 723 on the second floor. View from the room to the sea and the wasteland with yellowed grass. Number in principle large somewhere squares 30-35. Huge balcony with one table and two chairs. Bath and toilet are combined. There are no curtains over the bathroom (so when you wash, all the water flies to the floor and turns into a large puddle, there is a small hole in the floor where this water then drained). There is a hair dryer. There are two closets in the hallway, in one there is a refrigerator, in the other there is a safe and one bedside table with three drawers. When we looked into the cabinets, we found that there were only two hangers for two cabinets, and then one for trousers. They did not respond to the request to bring us clothes hangers, we did not wait for them until the end of the holiday. There were also two single beds in the hallway (apparently for children). There is one big bed in the room. The mattress was such that until you find a soft spot on it, you had to try, almost everywhere you could feel the springs that “dig into your back”. There was also a full-length table in the room, one chair, a flat-screen TV with one “jumping and stuttering” Russian channel (but we didn’t come to watch TV, but to relax and weren’t particularly upset). There is air conditioning in the room, not individual, but central, set to one temperature for everyone, and no matter how hard you try, do not change the temperature, there is a lock on the remote control. When you open the doors to the balcony, it automatically turns off. Even if the doors to the balcony are not tightly closed, it will not turn on for you. Periodically, every day, the air conditioner smelled of some kind of sewage, so much so that my head started to hurt wildly. Beach: The beach is 5 minutes from the hotel. walk. The hotel does not have its own beach, so it is municipal - public. A steep descent, cars and mopedists are constantly driving (there are sooooo many of them on the island) and you have to be careful. There is practically no free space on the beach, everywhere there are umbrellas with sunbeds for which they ask for 8 euros. We basically didn’t lie on them, we had our own cover. Many, just like us, lie on bedspreads and towels, even the Greeks themselves. The beach itself is very dirty, there are cigarette butts everywhere, disposable cups, candy wrappers, etc. , etc. , disposable used handkerchiefs. And if there was a wind, then it all turned out to be in the sea. The water in the sea pleased me, very clean, even swimming to a great depth you could see the bottom, and sometimes small fish swimming by. For two weeks at the hotel, we never saw any animation, the hotel has 4 pools: 2 at 3 * buildings, and 2 at 4 * (one for children and one for adults). The pool water is colder than the sea. You could always find free sunbeds. In the evening, the pool is illuminated. P. S. We liked the island of Rhodes itself. We rented a Fiat 500c (2014) convertible car for 3 days at KalitheaCars near Nikos, the contract is in Russian, no franchise, no limited mileage, the car is driven to the hotel (if you leave the hotel you need to turn left, walk to the road and turn left again, without crossing the road, walk along it for about 5 minutes, there will be a KalitheaCars sign). For 3 days we saw almost the entire island with its magnificent sights.
