The next vacation fell at the beginning of October. It was constantly raining in Moscow and it was cool and dreary. I wanted sun, sea and warmth. I decided to go to Tunisia, but the chosen hotel was not confirmed. I had to look again. The choice fell on Rhodes, it was suitable in all respects. I paid for the tour, but a few days later I was informed that the hotel had not been confirmed. I decided - no luck, I will be left without rest... The agency manager suggested the Kipriotis hotel (3 stars), which was located next to the hotel that I had previously booked. Reviews of the hotel were very controversial, very few Russian speakers. There was no time to choose and I decided to go to Kipriotis, which I did not regret at all.

The hotel is located at the entrance to the city of Rhodes. Nearby - hotels Semiramis, Belvedere, Rhodes Beach. Mostly Germans and Scandinavians stay at the hotel, there are very few Russians. They don't speak Russian at the reception, they spoke in English. In the restaurant, the waiters try to speak Russian. Rooms are small with balconies. The rooms have everything you need: safe (for a fee), TV, refrigerator, hair dryer. The bathroom is really very small, but you can’t live there... Towels were changed every day, bedding - once every three days (in any case, I occasionally left a tip to the maid, a sweet woman). The food at the hotel is not very good: breakfasts are very meager and monotonous, but it is difficult to stay hungry, there is always a choice. Dinners are quite tasty and more varied. Fruits and sweets to a minimum. For a trio, it's ok. The price matches the quality. Pebble beach - across the road. This is the Aegean Sea. A 20-minute walk along the promenade, behind the Aquarium - the Mediterranean Sea with sandy beaches. The Aegean Sea is warmer and more beautiful: it has a lot of shades from dark blue to turquoise. There are constant unrest in the Aegean Sea, but it's so good to "ride" on the waves. After breakfast we went to the beach. Then we had lunch and went on excursions around the island on our own: by ferry (Symi Island) or by bus (Faliraki, Lindos, Archangelos, etc. The ferry goes from the port, the price to Symi Island is 15 euros round trip. Bus ticket to Lindos - 5 euros one way, to Faliraki - 2.2 euros. In the evening after dinner we walked around the city. From the hotel to the city center (the port of Mandraki, the market, the Old Town) - 10-15 minutes, if you walk from the monument to Diagoros (figures 3- x man). Rhodes is a very interesting city, it is stretched along the western and eastern coast of the island. In Rhodes, history is at every turn. The old city, with its fortress, is unique. It is worth moving a little away from the noisy shopping streets and you find yourself in the Middle Ages... The silence is sometimes deafening. It is difficult to convey the feelings that you experience when wandering around the old fortress, climbing its walls, looking into the dark cellars. . . Unfortunately, I had little time to travel around the whole island and visit all the interesting places. I would like to return to Rhodes again!
