Hello everyone who will read my review! about. Rhodes was chosen for the reason that none of our acquaintances in Ukraine was there - everyone goes either to Turkey or Egypt....... We wanted to be exclusive. Yes, and to the south, last year we were in Bulgaria. Based on reviews, we chose the Faliraki resort hotel Lymberia 3 *, all inclusive, for 7 nights. The resort was chosen so that the infrastructure was, as you know, the north of the island is more populated and diverse than the south. Well, that long-awaited date of August 28 has come and we went to the island. We arrived, and the girl, the representative of the meeting party, tells us that there are no places in the hotel that we booked, and in order to compensate for the moral damage, we are accommodated in 5 * Lindos Imperial. Well, 5 * is not 3 *, and we had no choice but to agree, and not just us, as it turned out later. After waiting for the transfer, we went to the hotel. We drove for about 1 hour and the farther, the farther from civilization. We arrived, but the hotel is cool, we fed for slaughter, everything is fine, but around the mountains and the sea...... I tell our hotel guide that we specifically chose Faliraki to be closer to the north of the island, where you can not be bored, it doesn’t matter to me 3 * or 5 *, I didn’t come all the time to sit in a hotel.... She promised - if we don't change our minds by morning - she will relocate. But if we arrived for 10 days, then it would be possible, but for 7 days and lose a day for resettlement - they didn’t want to. On the second day, the hotel guide Aigul gathered everyone who arrived on the same day that we did and had an introductory conversation. She offered many different excursions around the island and beyond. We ourselves would not have reached either the city of Filerimos or the old town - we rented a car - we didn’t take the rights, because if we were in the resort of Faliraki, we would have gotten where we needed by public transport, and from the south we only need to take excursions . We took a full day excursion to Filerimos and the old town of Rhodes for 50 euros per person. Kaka later learned outside the hotel the same excursions for 35 euros. At 30 min. from the hotel there is the village of Kiotari, and so we learned there that you can buy cheaper excursions (photo attached). The tour was very interesting and educational. We were at a small factory where olive oil is made - they even arranged a tasting for us, you could buy it in the store, and not only oil, but also cosmetics and other olive products. Then we went to the city of Filerimos - a monastery, "the path to Calvary", peacocks.....It can't be put into words - you have to see it. . . And finally, the old city of Rhodes is an ancient, fabulous city. The impression, of course, is unforgettable, as in Bulgaria after visiting Nessebar. Then we had 3 hours of free time, my husband and I went to a cafe for a bite (pizza, 0.33 - beer, a can of cold tea and tomato soup - 200 UAH + 20 UAH. Tip, in Bulgaria you can eat a lot with this money more satisfying). Then everyone fled to the shops, and we ran to the northern cape of the island - where the two seas meet - the Aegean - constantly stormy and the Mediterranean - always calm. Unfortunately, we did not go to the southern "Kiss of the Two Seas" or as they call this place Prasonissi, due to lack of time, after all, 8 days are not enough. I liked the tour very much - we heard a lot of interesting things, even when we were driving - the guide told us something along the way. didn't stop for a minute! If we had gone by ourselves, we would not have learned much. Now about the territory of the hotel - the hotel is cool, the room is clean, but everything is old, which is not acceptable for 5 *. Bed and towels changed every day. On the first day, a bottle of red wine and sweets were given as a gift. The restaurant was all delicious and for every taste, on the beach bar, where you can also have a bite from 10 to 18. The beach is rocky and the entrance to the sea is also rocks, but local shops sell special shoes for 120 UAH per pair. But we did not buy - a good foot massage turned out, and not many people bought it. Yes, in principle, almost all the beaches on the island are rocky. The water is very salty, getting into the eyes stings terribly, and when after the sea the skin dries all white with salt, but there is a shower with fresh water on the beach. From 12 to 16 the sun was terrible, we hid under umbrellas, the water was warm. The beach at the end of August is no longer so crowded, which was also good. The territory of the complex is opromnaya. But no entertainment, well, except for the animators who entertained the children. Apart from the last line I wrote, the holiday was wonderful. My husband would like to come back here again, but as for me, I need to travel to a new country every year - I want to go to Morocco, in a year wait for a review about Morocco! Good luck!
