The ASTRA airline is very worthy - it took only 2 hours to fly, but the food was delicious, they gave it decent wine, the professionalism of the pilots is respected.
Makedonia Palace Hotel is located in the very center of the city, so if you want to get around all the sights on foot, take a walk along the embankment near the White Tower, and also do decent shopping, you won’t find a better hotel! The kitchen of the hotel is GREAT!! ! The food will satisfy even the most capricious gourmets - smoked eel ate, Volkonsky-style desserts, all kinds of green salads, meats, sauces, fresh juices, etc. The waiters reacted not only to our voice, but even to light gestures. . . The food is completely natural. The room was cleaned immaculately, the bed was changed every day. Upon checking in, I smelled a slight smell of smoking in the room, they immediately offered a non-smoking room (there are half of them in the hotel). The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. I was very touched by how the maid neatly laid out things and cosmetics thrown at random... The hotel has a wonderful sauna. I was a little unlucky with the weather, so I refused to take long-distance excursions. In Greece, not the first time I saw a lot, a lot. I love this country for cordiality and hospitality. Finally, I want to tell you a funny incident from this trip, which, in my opinion, characterizes the hospitality of the Greeks. After a long shopping trip, tired, I finally wandered into the Hondos Center (on Aristotle Street). In a cafe on the 5th floor I ordered an Americano coffee. The seller started making it, and then I noticed that all Greeks take their coffee not from a coffee machine, but brewed in a gas wand. I suddenly wanted Greek coffee so much, well, I just don’t have urine! I ask the girl to make me this coffee too (I think I’ll pay for two, in extreme cases I won’t drink americano, so that I don’t have enough kondraha from a double portion)... She threw up her hands, poured the ready americano into the washbasin, prepared Greek coffee, served water to it and a plate with two croissants and cookies. Knocked out a check only for coffee in Greek - 2 euros. Everything else was a treat. And all this with a smile and good luck in Greece! By the way, I want to note that this is not an exceptional case, but rather a rule for the Greeks. I don't know a more hospitable and helpful nation. So this is how Greece and the Greeks are...
