We flew this year with the whole family, 4 people. Parents and children 10 and 4 years old. In general, I liked everything. Family two-room number with a balcony. The room has a TV, refrigerator, bathroom, two single beds and a double bed in the second room. We lived in the central building. The room is clean, cleaning daily, towels changed every day, plumbing washed daily too. Wi-Fi in the hotel at the reception, in the bar, we also had in the room, because he was at the reception. Three meals a day. I strongly disagree that it's the same. For breakfast, eggs in any form (fried eggs, scrambled eggs, boiled), porridge, cereal with milk, amazingly delicious croissants, sweets, cheese, sausage, fried sausages, apricots and peaches in syrup ...Lunch is ALWAYS three types of meat, including rabbit, soup, two side dishes, fresh salads, salads with dressing, sweets, ice cream, fruits. Dinner is always two types of meat and fish (sometimes on the grill, sometimes in pieces, sometimes in batter ... ).
Drinks are free, including local dry wine, and drinks are free all day and in the bar until 22.00. Everything is very delicious. Dear Dissatisfied! for example, I don’t cook so much at home ...What kind of variety do you need?? ? Another thing is that Russian vacationers do not have a food culture, seeing a buffet, people sweep everything on a plate. And on the third day, their meat becomes the same and different types of fish are just one type of RABA ...Yes, this hotel does not serve national dishes, but being a 15-minute drive from Fira, you can drive to a restaurant and order something special for yourself . . There really is no animation in the hotel, but given that only Muscovites and Petersburgers fly to this hotel, that is, there is no language barrier, it is not needed. Music in the bar all day long, children easily get to know each other and already the crowd find something to do.
My eldest son managed to get acquainted with a Greek boy, the son of a restaurant employee at the hotel, two days later this boy was running around with all the Russian children around the hotel, as they understood each other the same way, and they didn’t require our parents to entertain them. My husband and I do not like to lie stupidly on the beach all day, so we went somewhere every day, either between breakfast and lunch, or in the afternoon before dinner. Fortunately, there is something to see on the island. Were twice in Fira (you can’t see it at a time), twice in Oia . . We rented a car, drove around the island, looked at all three types of sand. The car was taken through the hotel, it is a little more expensive, but the car is fully insured, the head does not hurt. True, the rental cars are low-powered, uphill only in first gear. We did not go on excursions.

Those that we drove by bus ourselves by car, after reading about the places on the Internet, and those that could not be on the boat because of the youngest child, he cannot stand the pitching. We must pay tribute to the guide Wilma, that she does not impose them, on the first day she told everything, suggested who wanted to sign up, who did not want to rest according to their program. Were at the Greek evening in the cafe Dimitris in the village of Kamari. We liked it, sirtaki danced all evening. The airport did not interfere with us, on the contrary, it entertained us. From the beach you can clearly see how the planes land on the island from the sea, it's mesmerizing, you can also see how they take off. We were interested. They write about the constant wind on the island, it's true, it always does, but it makes life much easier in the heat. You don’t feel it in the water, they left the water for the first five minutes, the youngest wore a towel. Sunbeds and umbrellas on site and on the beach are free. On other beaches from 5 to 8 euros.
Now the cons: not even a pebble beach ...but an entrance to the sea. You can enter only in special shoes, in ordinary slippers your legs are tucked up, you cannot enter without slippers. Husband and eldest son swam in the sea, my youngest son and I swam in the pool. We entered the sea with him only when we were several times on the beach of Monolithos and when we went by car to the city of Perissa. In fairness, it must be said that the child, in principle, liked the pool more, it is warmer and calmer there.
Generally speaking, we really liked it, we swam, we caught fire, we saw enough of the sights, gained a couple of extra pounds and flew into our St. Petersburg drizzling rain quite happy.
