We rested on the Halkidiki peninsula, liked the Assa Maris Beach hotel, leaving the most pleasant memories of the rest.
We got from Moscow without delay and a long wait. And we reached the hotel on a group transfer in about an hour and a half. We were a little tired after the flight, but even though the road is not close, the time somehow flew by quickly, the bus was good, we arrived in comfort.
The hotel, in principle, satisfied all our expectations, cozy, homely, with a beautiful landscaped area. Lots of greenery, flowering shrubs, palms and flowers. There is a swimming pool, a pool bar and one by the restaurant, a mini market, a playground, a tennis court for big tennis and a table for small ones.
The beach strip is wide and long, there were enough places for everyone, and there was no feeling of an "anthill". Sunbeds and umbrellas are free, there is a changing cabin. Beach towels can be purchased with a deposit of 10 euros, then every 3 days they are changed for clean ones.

The room is cozy, there was enough space for two, they cleaned it every day, the linen was changed 2 times a week, it was clean, there was nothing to complain about. Air conditioning and safe are free, there is a TV, a couple of Russian channels showed, a refrigerator. It would be nice to change the plumbing, the look is outdated, but everything worked properly. From the room we had a view of the sea and Mount Athos.
The restaurant serves very tasty food, the choice is not bad, there was enough meat dishes, fish, seafood, several side dishes, fresh vegetables and fruits. We tried traditional dishes: moussaka, tzatziki sauce, pastitsio, fried eggplant in breadcrumbs. Desserts are delicious: pastries, cakes, traditional baklava, jelly goodies and much more. Every day, the fruits were watermelon, melon, nectarines, peaches, grapefruit, oranges, apples.
The staff, both in the restaurant and in the hotel as a whole, are very hospitable, friendly, many speak Russian, there is no language barrier. Animation in Russian, pretty good.
During the holiday visited 2 trips. These are Thessaloniki and the cave of Petralona. Thessaloniki is very atmospheric, the architecture of past years is closely intertwined with the atmosphere of the modern metropolis. 2 hours was a walk with a guide, after which 3 hours of free time: independently visited the market, the White Tower Museum and had lunch in a tavern. In the Petralona cave we admired the stalactites and stalagmites, a very large and beautiful cave, and as part of the tour we went with a guide to the museum. The trip turned out to be very educational. Then we stopped at the Enigma shopping center. We bought gifts for relatives and friends and delicious Greek wine.
We had a good rest, we liked the hotel, we recommend it.
