This year we went to Greece for a holiday. We decided to stop at the second finger, Sithonia. We settled in the hotel Porto Carras Meliton. We liked the rest very much. Of course, I can’t say that the hotel is perfect, there are some nuances. But overall we really enjoyed it.
I'll start with the strengths. First, it's territory. Territrria hotel spread over a vast area, about 1700 hectares. You can't get around this area on foot. On the second day, we went on a train around the hotel, to explore its infrastructure.
The train makes a Paradise tour every hour.
We learned that the hotel has its own winery. We went on a tour for 10 euros. There they tasted the wines of Porto Carras, looked at the factory itself and the vineyards. We liked it very much, bought wines and drank a charming drink every evening to set the mood.
On the territory there is a golf club, a stable.
And there is a private marina for yachts. The most favorite place. In the evening, a lot of people walk there, taverns work, you can eat frozen yogurt, hot souvlaki (kebab on a stick, you will lick your fingers), watch a movie on a big screen right in the open air. Many yachts in the evening are illuminated by beauty. In the bay, due to the illumination of the yachts, you can see fish (just huge fish). There are also shops in the Marina. I bought myself just an amazing swimsuit for 50 euros. I didn’t even find such people in Thessaloniki when I went shopping.
The hotel has places to ride a bike, there are wonderful bike paths. The beach is full of entertainment: volleyball, jet skis, pills, bananas, parasailing, diving too.
For 20 euros you can order a banana safari. A whole hour of fun. They go to the island of Kelifos, a local attraction and to the bays behind the Kokhi beach, where it is not possible to drive by car.
From this trip, too, were completely delighted.
The hotel itself is very green and beautiful. At night, the Meliton and Sithonia hulls are beautifully illuminated. We were more than satisfied with the infrastructure of the hotel. I liked it, there are no words.
What let us down were the numbers. It was possible to make a small cosmetic repair.
