Review of the hotel "Toroneos 2*"
The sweetest, small, downright family-run European-level hotel is located on the outskirts of the village of Nikiti, in Sithonia.

This hotel is chosen by people who want to travel on excursions, because it is located at the very beginning of Sithonia, and from Thessaloniki Airport there is a 1.5 hour drive. We are glad that we got there, because you have to book places six months in advance. But this time everything happened.

Given the fact that the hotel is located on the outskirts of the village, it is always very quiet there. Roads, beach bars and taverns are a bit far away, so we finally had a rest from the city noise.
In the application they wrote that we wanted a room with a sea view, and the hotel immediately gave us such a room without additional reminders and "encouragements".

We went out onto the balcony and gasped - such a beauty! From our balcony you can see not only the sea, but also Kassandra and, in good weather, even Olympus.

The room has everything you need: beds with comfortable orthopedic mattresses, a dressing table with a mirror, a beautiful spacious built-in wardrobe, a refrigerator, a TV, air conditioning, a table and chairs on the balcony, and a well-equipped bathroom with a shower. You don’t need to pay extra for remotes from the TV or from the air conditioner, they just lie in the room. It should be noted that all the furniture and carpentry in the room is of excellent quality, wooden, tinted and varnished. We were especially delighted with the doors to the balcony, which consisted of three separately opening parts: shading shutters, mosquito net and separately closing frames with glass.

and shrubs create the feeling that you are in the garden. The white mulberry has already ripened, there it is gigantic and very sweet!

The hotel has a swimming pool and next to it are conveniently located sunbeds under the shade of grapes, where it is pleasant to relax in the summer heat.

where Greek-style food is delicious. The restaurant works only on the HB system, buffet. Hearty breakfasts, always two types of olives, always Greek yogurt with two types of jam or honey. And for dinner, there is only one meat dish, but several side dishes and several salads, as well as fruits. In general, no matter how hard they tried to restrain themselves, they still gained 1 kg on Greek goodies.

The beaches in Nikiti are sandy and pebbly, the entry into the water is shallow.

There were no sun loungers on the "conditionally" hotel beach. "Conditionally" - because all the beaches in Greece are municipal.

But when entering the water, you need to be vigilant - there are a lot of sea urchins. They are found not only on stones, but often on the sand, crawling about their hedgehog business.

So coral slippers are not a luxury here, but a necessity.
For those who like to lie on sunbeds with a drink, a strip of city beaches, which are adjacent to taverns and restaurants, is a 15-minute walk along the beautiful promenade. The city beach is sandy, well-groomed, we did not see sea urchins there.

Only the receptionists speak English. The hotel staff - all the kitchen and maids - only speak Greek. But their cordiality and desire to help gave us the opportunity to understand each other.
Already before our departure, the Russian-speaking Victoria appeared at the reception, and this made life easier for many. Moreover, the contingent of tourists has changed somewhat. When we checked in, besides us, another Russian-speaking family was resting in the entire hotel, and the rest of the vacationers were mostly Bulgarians. It is much closer for them to go here from Sofia than to the Black Sea. They come in their cars, because they are only 70 km from the border. There were also Slovaks and Greeks. By the day of our departure, Latvians and many Russians arrived. So it was time to hire an employee who speaks more than just Greek and English.
Cleaning the rooms every day, they try very hard. Wi-Fi is free, but available only at the reception.
We were very satisfied with the rest and the hotel, in particular.

A little bit unlucky with the weather, but you can't order it. It's still low season. The "high" season begins in these places on June 1, at the same time the weather sets in, and prices rise very significantly.
