For a long time, my husband and I have moved away from hotel complexes familiar to CIS tourists,

where you are tied to a restaurant, so that God forbid you do not miss a meal, but

choose apartments or cozy home hotels for breakfast

maximum to try something local in a cafe, well, or cook from

fresh seafood and vegetables purchased from local markets to

feel the real color of the country.

As a result, we decided to go to Greece again, since the prices are in euros compared to

last year did not change, and it was possible to get out for a couple of weeks. On the

this time we chose the small island of Thassos and the village of Potos. Booked

There are beautiful beaches in the village, there are both sandy and pebbly ones nearby.

A rather unpromoted island (compared to the same Crete, Rhodes),

and thus alluring. The village is cozy, there are many taverns with excellent cuisine,

cafes, not noisy - in terms of cars, a large pedestrian zone. In past

year the hotel was completely renovated. The rooms are small, but

they had what they needed, free Wi-Fi in the room, and the sea is a stone's throw away

- the perfect combination. We chose a hotel based on photos on the Internet, because none of

acquaintances before us did not rest in Thassos. In reality, everything is not worse than in the photo))

I like the design of the rooms, although the hotel is budget, I don’t like it when everyone

smeared, flowers on the curtains and in general a rustic style. To Potos San

Studios minimalism mixed with Scandinavian style - just what you need! What else

important for us, plumbing is new, clean, textiles of normal quality - I

I am very squeamish, a stain on a freshly issued towel can ruin

rest day, so the joy that there were no such problems. Pleased also

the view from the balcony and the exterior of the hotel as a whole - very green!
Regarding the beach, there is another nuance, the nearest beach to the hotel (50 m) is sand with

pebbles, a wild beach and a small one, we walked a little further (150 meters from

hotel), there is a sandy beach and you can take sun loungers + umbrella. And of course it's worth

take a car and drive around the fabulous bays of Thassos!
