We rested with a friend at the Astoria Hotel, on the island of Zakynthos. We arrived early in the morning and therefore we had to wait several hours for check-in, we were not particularly upset, we had been to many places in Europe, so we knew that this was a normal practice in hotels. We were given a room with a sea view as we had booked. The room is quite decent, we expected less from a two star hotel. Everything works perfectly, everywhere everything is clean and the furniture is chosen with taste. The room has air conditioning, refrigerator, kettle, coffee pot, crockery (a little). The bathroom is comfortable with functional fixtures. I really liked the small territory of the hotel, it doesn’t bother me that in order to leave the hotel you have to walk huge distances, but here, on the contrary, it’s like being at home, you go out and immediately head to the village. We really liked it there, a lot of great cafes, taverns, bars, souvenir shops and ordinary shops. The hotel has a spacious good beach, sandy. Sunbeds and umbrellas for a fee (about 5 euros). There is also a wild beach nearby, unequipped, but quite decent. The food at the hotel is good, there is a variety, although not the largest, but there is plenty to choose from. I don't eat at home anyway. There was an omelet, boiled eggs, jams, yogurt, beans, coffee, it seemed like there was something else. We had breakfasts, we dined in taverns, and for dinner we had some kind of fruit, but we did not get better. In the evenings, we either just walked or went to sit in some bar. We didn’t go on excursions much, we were at the Navaggio bay, friends took us there.
