Let's start with the fact that we were met by the owners themselves, and their whole family. They offered drinks and took us to a room. The room is quite simple, but very comfortable and it looks like it has been recently renovated. still has its own air conditioner, kettle, etc.
A distinctive feature of this hotel is that it is run by a friendly family, which treats its guests like relatives. The hotel is only open for breakfast, and at first we wanted to go to the tavern to have lunch and dinner, but throughout the rest we ate at the hotel, because we don’t want to leave such an atmosphere. The restaurant has a menu in Russian, which makes it much easier to stay there.
Separately, I would like to tell you about the Greek evening, which takes place there every Friday. The whole family is together, the guests are happy to dance, you can order a Greek dinner and watch from the sidelines, or you can become an active participant, in any case, wonderful impressions are guaranteed to you!
I would like to say a huge thank you to Nikos and Kostas, the brothers who served behind the bar. Always responsive, friendly and every time ready to support the conversation or cheer!
The rest turned out to be eventful, either we went on excursions, or spent time at sea with pleasure. The beach is a stone's throw away, sunbeds and umbrellas are free. The sea is a separate topic, but I think everyone will fall in love with it, having visited Zakynthos at least once.
We rested with friends in these apartments in early September 2014.
We went to the "velvet season" at the sea and we hit it!
Rest was just what we needed.
The apartments are not large, the territory seemed a bit small, as they used to rest only in Turkey. But very soulful.
We didn’t sit at the hotel much, we went by bus to walk to the city of Zakynthos, go for about 25 minutes by bus, and to Tsilivi, which is very close - 5-10 minutes. The bus stop is 300m from the hotel. Buses run about once an hour, maybe a little more often.
ROOMS: Simple, but they have everything you need, there were no problems with cooking, since the nearest market is 10 meters away, but when you didn’t really want to cook, we went to eat in taverns, which are also nearby enough.
BEACH: the beach is not as close as it says on the site, or rather it is close, but you need to go around. First you need to go 300m along the road, to the stop, and then the indicated 150m down. The beach is municipal, so all umbrellas and sun loungers are paid. But we adapted to take a cocktail at a local bar and it was possible to take a sunbed for free. The beach is pebbly and there are stones at the entrance, so it will not be very convenient with small children.
In general, we really liked the rest - 10 days flew by unnoticed.
The territory of the hotel is small, mainly part of the lawn and the pool, it was always clean. The rooms are modest, but in general we did not notice any big minuses. The room has a large bed, a sofa, a closet where there were no hangers, a kitchenette, a refrigerator, a small TV. Every day they came to clean, wash the floors, make the bed, linen was changed twice a week, we ourselves asked to change the towels earlier.
The hotel is located in the middle of nowhere, there is almost nothing within walking distance, we took a taxi, went to Tsilivi, where you can have a great meal. As we noted, the most delicious taverns are far from tourist places, where prices are low, portions are large and you can better feel the Greek atmosphere.
