Zakynthos is a very small Greek island, only 25 km long. which is located in the Ionian Sea. The tiny size and the fact that in 1953 a strong earthquake destroyed almost all historical buildings scare away many tourists who fear that there is nothing to do and nothing to see in Zakynthos. It's not.
Navagio Bay Beach is one of the ten most beautiful beaches in the world. For this reason, visiting this place is expensive and rather dreary. This is exacerbated by the fact that this beach can only be reached by sea.
Well, when you get there, you will see crowds of people there. And half of them with selfie sticks.
But Navagio must be visited. Simply necessary.
It makes sense not to sail there by sea, but to look at the bay from above. From the observation deck.
There are plenty of sites with awesome views on Zakynthos.

But with the observation deck over Navagio Bay, everything is not so simple. I have been to the island three times. Three times I tried to get to this place. And it only happened the third time. The fact is that the Greeks break all the signs to this place, so that people, in despair, go down to the bays and rent places to Navagio in ships and boats.
So, when you go, follow the signs to the monastery of George of Kremnon. Their pious Greeks do not break.
At some point, the road will run into a donkey. Just don't laugh. It has been standing there for 10 years under the sign "Throw 1 euro into my piggy bank for food. " Maybe the donkeys are different, but the plate is the same.
From the donkey, you need to smoothly turn right and, after driving 50 meters, look carefully to the left. There, among the bushes, behind, at an acute angle, there is the desired road. It's easier not to notice her.

This is Navagio Bay. Trust me - this view will delight you much more than a real visit to the bay. The view is impeccable. There are few people. And you will save a lot of money.
For complete happiness, look from the balcony to the right. There is such a rock.
It is not visible from here, but on the crest of this rock there is a narrow path along which you can go to the end and see Navagio from a better angle. There is such beauty that you can meet several Japanese people who sit there for hours and just silently contemplate the divine view.
In general, the advice is this. If possible, then you need to go here and to the beach itself. But if you have to choose, then the option with an observation deck is preferable.
