My friend and I decided to go absolutely spontaneously, so we bought a last-minute ticket for a week. Accordingly, the choice was small, but in terms of price-quality ratio, the Horizont hotel seemed the most suitable, and the girl in the travel agency insistently convinced that if we choose Horizont, then we will be 100% satisfied. We went to Croatia for the first time, but before that we had traveled enough around the world, so there is something to compare with. Looking ahead, I’ll say right away that the girl was not mistaken and we are delighted with the rest.
Firstly, we immediately fell in love with this country, even from the bus window on the way to the hotel from the airport there are such stunning views that it is impossible not to fall in love. The transfer was organized flawlessly, a representative of the travel agency met at the airport and after 10 minutes (sufficient to withdraw money from an ATM and take a couple of photos) we left. The road took about 1.5 hours (with stops at 2 hotels where other vacationers were dropped off), an air-conditioned bus + they immediately distributed books about Croatia and a schedule of excursions with a Russian-speaking guide, so I didn’t get bored.
Checking into the hotel, despite the large number of people who arrived at the same time, took a couple of minutes. The room is good, with new furniture, the only thing is that it's small for a 4 *, but since we only came to spend the night, it didn't really bother us. When we moved in, the light in the hallway of our room was not working, the porter told us that the electrician would only be there the next morning, so we lived one evening without light in the hallway, but the next morning everything was fixed. Cleaned up every day. The hotel has 2 swimming pools - outdoor and indoor, each with a jacuzzi. Of course, we didn't go there every day, but a couple of times for fun - very nice.

Fed to death. The choice was huge, the food - like in a good restaurant. In the morning, scrambled eggs, scrambled eggs or boiled eggs, several options for sausages and bacon, several options for cereals, salads, muesli, yogurts and milk for dressing, sliced cheese, sausages and meat, I was very pleased with the presence of fresh cottage cheese and Feta cheese, toasts, a variety of jams, juices , teas and coffees. Both in the morning and in the evening a large selection of vegetables - both pickled and fresh, and fruits (oranges, grapefruits, nectarines, plums, kiwi, bananas, watermelons, melons), and all ripe and tasty, as well as a large selection of cakes. For dinner, each time there were several options for hot dishes (and each evening different) - veal, pork, chicken, fish, seafood, several options for pasta and spaghetti and several options for potatoes; 2 soup options - broth and cream soup, again different every evening; 2 options for ice cream, again the same every evening a different one. Drinks at dinner were paid, but since water in Croatia can be drunk from a tap, we did not buy them. In addition, we had tea bags and a small electric kettle with us. Despite the fact that the meals are two meals a day, we didn’t feel like eating during the day, we limited ourselves to fruits, coffee and ice cream.
Beach. It takes less than a minute to walk from the hotel to the beach. There are a lot of people, but at any time you can take a seat, even near the water itself, even in the shade under the pines, you don’t need to get up at 6 in the morning. True, we left no later than 10. A sunbed with a mattress costs 4 euros, an umbrella 3, they were brought and installed in any place where we asked. I was pleasantly surprised - when one day before the tour we went out for a swim at 6.30 in the morning, we saw how the beach worker carefully wipes each sunbed with a cloth. Minus - in Croatia you can smoke everywhere, and on the beach you may not be lucky to be next to smokers, but again, this is not fatal. The water in the sea is clean, very salty and unrealistically turquoise, swimming is a pleasure.
In the evening after dinner, we went for a walk along the embankment, it took us 2 evenings to develop the territory, one sat among the yachts on the pier almost in the open sea, another one went for 1.5 euros to the neighboring city of Makarska (15 minutes drive), and the rest 3 just relaxing after the tours on the balcony with wine bought outside the hotel for about 3 euros. By the way, very tasty, but you must try.
On the excursion we went to 1) Dubrovnik, the whole day. Approximately 4 hours by bus, a very interesting guide's story on the way (in Russian), a sightseeing tour of the Old Town for about 40 minutes and 3 hours of free time, during which we managed to swim in the sea, wander through the old streets and have a very tasty meal in a local restaurant . 2) Imotski, half a day. Landings near waterfalls, Blue Lake, Red Lake, wine tasting with cheese, prosciutto (the national dish is dried meat in a special way), boiled eggs, vegetables and bread, everything is very tasty, and for a snack, landing near three more lakes, everything is accompanied by a guide in Russian. 3) Fish picnic, boat trip to the islands for the whole day. There was no Russian guide, but still wonderful. Landing on 2 islands, 1 - walk around the old town, 2 - swim on the famous Golden Cape beach, 2 hours of free time. During the transfer between the islands, they are fed freshly fried fish with vegetables, bread, juice and wine. We also saw dolphins right next to the ship!

In general, the impression of the rest - a delight! Excellent service, very attentive attitude to tourists, everything is thought out, convenient and comfortable. Recommended for a great holiday and we will definitely come back!
