I rested in the hotel for 11 days, before that I was only in Turkey. The rest system is completely different, if in Turkey you mainly go to the hotel, then in Croatia - exactly to the country! The hotels lived in apartments - 2 bedrooms, a hall (with TV and a kitchen), a balcony. There is air conditioning, although not new but cooled well. The house is one-story, located in pine plantations. There is the same class, but 2-storey houses. The rooms are rather modest, but neat, the furniture is new. Very similar to the boarding houses of the Crimea. Bathroom with shower. Towels were changed every day (as well as cleaned). The price included breakfast, pretty good, but monotonous: muesli, cereal with milk or yogurt, several types of sausages, cheeses, boiled eggs and scrambled eggs, cereals, sausages, pate, honey, etc. , tea, coffee, cocoa, juice . We could also use the swimming pools (outdoor and indoor) and the gym of the Horizon 4 * hotel (the hotel is very beautiful, and, accordingly, 2 times more expensive than ours). The territory of Urania is quite beautiful and well-groomed, the first line from the sea, 2 min. on foot, the beach is common, pebbly. Between the beach and the hotel there is a street, on which there are many cafe-restaurants, and hotels - apartments. The beach is pebbly, it's a bit inconvenient to go into the sea, but the water is clean. On the horizon you can see the islands, to which we later went on an excursion. Food in restaurants-cafes on the beach is not very expensive, the portions are just huge! For example, fish (300-400 gr. ) on the grill, along with a side dish, sauce - about 9 euros, salads (for two) - 6 euros, there is even a Russian restaurant Matryoshka, where you could eat borscht, fish soup (2-3 euros ), dumplings, pancakes, etc. From evening entertainment - a disco for young people on the beach with a dance floor (by the end of the holiday we found out that there is another one, but we weren’t there), for older people a restaurant with live music (hits of the 80-90s ), for "just sitting" there are many restaurants, cocktail bars (in one of them a guy sang ballads with a guitar - very cool! ). you can go to Makarska - 9 km, by bus or taxi (15 euros one way), there is a bigger city and more entertainment too. Prices are the same as in Baska Voda. I recommend going to Dubrovnik and the Plitvice Lakes - incredible beauty! In addition, Horizont has tennis courts, volleyball courts on the beach. I liked the rest very much, the country is beautiful, the water is such an emerald color near the shore, and deep blue at a depth. Croatia is worth seeing.
