We chose this hotel involuntarily - since there was no choice left a week before departure: o))) And apparently there were many of us - in fact, half the plane left in Velaris !!! ! They were quite clearly aware of the level of the hotel, so they were even surprised by the pleasant staff, everyday cleaning, food - quite good. A variety of fruits (even once there was a fig. But it got only to those who get up early : o))), a classic buffet, everything is quite tasty. Supplemented meals in restaurants (konobs) in the town of Supetar - grilled seafood, homemade wine, brandy...
"View of the sea" in Velaris is a very relative concept - everyone covered the fir trees. The territory resembles Crimean boarding houses - pines, bushes, paths. The only thing that shocked me was the aroma of lavender, which grew everywhere. And we went to do a photo shoot in the nearby Waterman - this is a really beautiful hotel, surrounded by a well-groomed park. The beach along the entire coast is pebbly, but this is not a problem, the water is super.
We went on an excursion to Dubrovnik, many thanks to the guide Elena from Panoramic - a wonderful storyteller, we fell in love with this country after the trip and her fascinating story. We went to Split on our own by ferry - inexpensively 33 kunas one way. We climbed the observation tower along the steep steps and in a strong wind, took a photo in the palace of Emperor Diocletian and on the stunningly beautiful embankment. We bought Brac cheese, homemade cheese, figs on the market - the prices are absolutely real! We went to Bol from Supetar on a quad bike 290 kunas plus 70 kunas gasoline, it turned out very cool - it was the best trip, we visited Vidova Gora, Zlatny Rat, walked along the Bol embankment, bought homemade wine, brandy. The only thing is that they did not immediately get used to the quadra, there were dangerous moments on the serpentine. Zlatny Rat was very disappointing at first - a pebbly cape of as much as 158 meters !! ! Even the fact that his "tail" deviated in one direction or another, depending on the wind, did not save him. Yes, they did not see our beaches on the Fedotova Spit in the Sea of Azov (12 kilometers of the purest sandy beach!!! ) But then they felt the originality of this unique place - I wish every hotel had such a golden rat!

Souvenirs: in the beginning, they honestly bought lavender, magnets, stones. Then we saw the light - Orekhovka, rakia and other national drinks are sold in supermarkets in mini containers (100 grams), and in our eyes this has become the best souvenir.
Communication - we did not have any language and cultural barriers at all (even despite the bad English).
