I rested in a hotel with my dad in August 2011 and finally got around to write a review about it. Opinions about the hotel remained ambiguous. I'll start with the positives. The hotel is quiet, calm, complete security, no one will ever disturb you within its walls, as, indeed, in the nearby village of Slano (local cars are left on the street with open windows, theft does not flourish in this place). The service at the hotel is at a high level, the staff is polite, speaks English, but also understands Russian, even a little Ukrainian. The rooms are quite new, very beautiful and comfortable, although their area is small, individual air conditioning, hair dryer; cleaning in the rooms is also excellent, towels are changed every day, for 2 weeks of rest they changed the bedding several times, the staff does not take tips, which is nice. The beach is sandy, very large, sunbeds, towels, umbrellas are free. after 9-10 you will not find a good place. More Europeans (Germans, Italians, British, although there are also Russians) rest in the hotel.
Now to the cons. There is practically no entertainment in the hotel, outdoor enthusiasts will die of boredom there, and this is not an exaggeration. No animation, discos, nightclubs, water parks, water slides, nothing. Tourists have only water sports at their disposal (you can rent a canoe or a yacht), and a standard fitness center, tennis, volleyball, sauna, etc. Near Dubrovnik, you can go on an excursion or take a car and ride, but it is very far from the hotel (about 800 km) to Plitvice Lakes - the most beautiful place in Croatia. Now regarding food: we were on a breakfast/dinner diet, ate very heartily and even had almost no lunch. Everything is very tasty: a lot of meat, fresh vegetables, a huge selection of sausages, balyks and cuts, seafood and fish, vegetable and fruit salads, delicious pastries for breakfast, drinking yoghurts. There are quite a lot of fruits, though there are no strawberries, but I love them very much =) The chef at the hotel is smiling and pleasant, if you wish, he can cook something for you individually, but what was offered was enough. Minus food: few sweets, for dinner a couple of types of cakes, ice cream sometimes, not every day. Turkish abundance of sweets cannot be compared. The thing that bugged me every dinner was that the drinks at dinner are PAID, including water, and cost a fortune. You can’t bring some water with you and put it on the table - they make comments. Personally, I was annoyed: why do you need to pay money for water or juice, which were also free for breakfast?
In general, summing up, I can say that older people, aimed at a relaxing holiday and mostly lying on the beach, as well as couples with children, preferably not very small ones (there is nothing special for children, no one entertains them) will like the hotel. Fans of parties, entertainment, water slides, discos and dating have nothing to do there, they will not like it. Here's something I didn't like. . .
