I want to share information. We rested for a week at the Laguna Materada 3 * hotel, near the town of Poreč . The hotel is good, you will be pleasantly surprised if you count on "so-so"). I recommend it as a family option. I don’t think it’s necessary to write that it’s clean, comfortable and smiling a lot here . . But it’s really very clean and tidy here !! ) The rooms are excellent, with air conditioning, carpet everywhere on the floor. Two lifts. Concerts and dances in the evenings. Many Europeans (Germans, Italians. . ) were even from America. There are also enough Russians, but a more cultured part of the Russian-speaking population rests here than in Turkey)) The food is "biting": a lot of meat, cheese, fruits; there is ice cream, free drinks. .
A remark about the pool - right from 5-6 in the morning they already throw towels on the sunbeds, reserve . . so you won’t find a free place near the pool at 9 o’clock. The beach is rocky and the platform, since we don’t swim normally, we found good places, somewhere smaller pebbles, somewhere a convenient stone, which you hold on to when you enter the sea. Gorgeous coniferous forest all around, it's great to breathe). It is not as hot here as in South Dalmatia. The sea is transparent, here the wind is constant and it is seething. A little further away from the hotel, many families rest in campers. There is even a mini-restaurant on the beach. There you will be prepared razhnichi with potatoes for 60 kunas or they will sell you a "bag" of ice cream for 6 kunas.
If you walk from the hotel for 15 minutes along the beach or along the road, you can take a tourist mini-train and get to Poreč for 10 kunas, it also takes about 15 minutes to go.

Tip - before the trip, learn a few phrases in Croatian and repeat a little English, you will feel more comfortable.
