We had a family vacation in Rubin hotels from 07/11/09 to 07/22/09. The Rubin3 * hotel is located next to the hotels of the same Valamar chain - Kristal and Diamant, they are all located in a pine forest, Rubin is closest to the sea, then Crystal and Diamant. To the sea 3-5 min. walk, all municipal beaches, equipped with special concrete platforms and very comfortable stairs for descending into the sea, as well as changing cabins and a shower with fresh water. Sunbeds on the beach are paid 20 kn (120 rubles), but you can sunbathe on a green lawn on a towel or buy special rugs. Everyone is very interested in special slippers for swimming, you need them if you are going to walk along the bottom on foot, and if you carefully and slowly go down the stairs, you can do without them, at least I don’t advise headlong to run to the store on the first day - look around first on the spot ! The sea is really very clean and transparent, but less salty than the Mediterranean. The weather was just wonderful, +31 in the daytime, +18-20 in the evening, there is no such sweltering heat as in Turkey, the air is amazing because pines grow around, Himalayan cedars (very useful for those who suffer from allergies). Now a little about nutrition: breakfast from 7 to 10 is a buffet (there is everything your heart desires, even the picky will find something to their liking) dinner from 19 to 21 is also a buffet, but here, honestly, I’ll just tell you "guzzling" everyone will find what they like, the only thing this year is that free drinks at dinner have been canceled, even still water for extra. I also forgot to take anything out of the restaurant with you (there is information at the entrance to the restaurant), for example, one apple costs 2 euros, but if you put it in your purse, then there is no problem (this also applies to bread, cuts, etc. )To Poreč.20min. a calm step along the sea and 10min through the park area. The city center is not a big min. for 30-40 you can get around everything if you don’t go to the shops. There are a lot of exchange offices on almost every corner (look at the course), the market (fruits, vegetables) is located in the center, it is marked with a cherry on the map, it’s easy to find, it’s better to buy drinks in a supermarket "Konzum", next to the port it is small, but in the center there is more (there is still a huge one, but it takes about 30-40 minutes to walk to it). There are a lot of excursions and for every taste and budget, I highly recommend Plitvice Lakes (of course it is very large and a little heavy, but it's worth it) This is a miracle that you will not see anywhere else !!!
Croats understand us very well, so there are no problems with the language. There are a lot of Germans, Italians, Austrians, Slovaks, Slovenes, Dutch in the hotels
There are very few Russians.

If you still decide to relax in Croatia, feel free to buy a tour and go!! ! You will not regret this quiet wonderful vacation! You will definitely want to go back there again!! !
