Location Hotel Plavi is located in the Zelena Laguna complex on the very shores of the purest emerald Adriatic Sea /20 meters/. The nearest town is Poreč /about 5km/. It can be reached by car train, boat, bicycle / rental /, if not laziness, then on foot through a very picturesque area. Transport runs very often and until late. The whole area is surrounded by lush beautiful vegetation. There are a lot of cedars, flowers and other plants. Pula Airport is 60 km away.

Near the hotel there are mini-shops with food, beach equipment, souvenirs. There is also a small market. Territory 3-storey hotel is designed in my opinion for 212 rooms. Decorated with greenery and flowers. It does not have an adjacent territory as such: a hotel, a mini-shop, a currency exchange, a lobby-ban, the Internet, at the entrance to it there is a street cafe, a beer bar, then after 20 meters - the beach. The hotel has a decent outdoor pool, but we didn't use it. because
near the purest warm, gentle sea.

Number Our 2-bed room was tiny: a large bed, 2 mini-bedside tables with narrow aisles on the sides, a mirror, a bedside table, a built-in wardrobe and a small free patch. I have never seen such a minimum! The hotel looks at the sea on one side, and on the mountain on the other, because it is located on its slope. Our room had a mountain view. And although we had a second floor, the view from the window was like from the basement. Yes, balconies are also not in all rooms, as they sometimes write about it. We did not have.

Therefore, if you want a good view, a balcony at the height of the season, stipulate this immediately when booking a ticket for a fee. The bathroom has a shower cabin, it is better to take your own hair dryer, their hair dryer is more like a vacuum cleaner. TV and adjustable air conditioning was and worked properly. The minibar with fridge didn't work, but we didn't need it. In our room there was always shade and silence, and this is even a plus in the July heat.
Linen was changed regularly.

Service The hotel staff was friendly, Russian-speaking. Room cleaning was of high quality, always in the absence of us. The service in the restaurant is excellent, despite the large influx of people in July. The best room, however, despite all my persuasion for a surcharge, they refused to give us, arguing that everything was busy. I don't know if that really happened. On this I calmed down. Moreover, we only needed it for a night's sleep, washing and changing clothes. There was no desire to hang around there.

We were waiting for the sea, restaurants and travel. Food That's great, so it's food in the hotel restaurant. We had breakfast and dinner, both were good. The food quality is excellent. European Mediterranean cuisine. For breakfast there were various omelettes, sausages, sausages, pancakes, pastries, cakes, natural yoghurts, muesli, cheeses, sausages, vegetables, olives, salads, fruits, coffee, cocoa, tea.
You could even choose any fussy.

Dinner was very varied: meat, poultry, fish dishes, seafood - squid, mussels, shrimps - also often served, various salads, herbs, side dishes for every taste, all kinds of desserts, ice cream. White and red wine, beer in this hotel for dinner was served free of charge in unlimited quantities and of good quality. Dishes were always replenished. Despite the fact that in July there were a lot of people, it was possible to eat without problems. The tables were cleaned on time by the staff.

Several times there were folklore evenings in the restaurant, it's funny. Beach and sea The water in the sea is the purest, beautiful emerald color. The entrance to the sea is convenient. The bottom is certainly not sand, pebbles and stones in some places, but this is nonsense. See for yourself. There are sea urchins in the sea, so you need to buy swimming slippers / they are very comfortable to swim in / and sunbathing mats if you don’t want to pay for sunbeds daily. This is sold everywhere and is inexpensive.
You can sunbathe on pebbles, green lawns, stone slabs.

Good on stoves / don't be scared, they are very pretty and comfortable / or on lawns. On the lawn, when it's hot, you can hide in the shade of an olive or a wild fig. The nature there is really beautiful! Recreation and sports In the evenings, the hotel hosted several shows with invited local and foreign artists - singers and dancers. With nothing to do you can visit. Also in the nearby 4 star hotel, in my opinion, Laguna Albatros, you can also see such entertainment.

The nightlife here is quiet and measured, it was boring. In the evenings, everyone strolls along the embankment, go to shops, stock up on souvenirs in the market, relax in numerous cafes and restaurants. There, basically, live music in the disco style, if you want and mood, you can dance. I heard that young people can relax in Porec at a night disco.
Sports life is organized perfectly, if there was a desire, but we had it: a lot of tennis courts /on request, the coach will train for a fee/, table tennis, football, volleyball, bicycles and catamarans for rent.

Very cool for any age group. Children Since we didn't have small children with us, I don't remember the details. But, looking at other young parents, I concluded that ecologically clean, green, calm Croatia is the very place where kids can improve their health and have fun. Here the cleanest ecology and beaches are marked with the blue flag of UNESCO. In vain, some write that the coast of Croatia is not for small children. A convenient entrance to the water can always be found, especially since they bathe anyway under the supervision of their parents. There were a lot of kids with their parents from different countries.

Excursions, etc. We went to the Plitvice Lakes, this is in the mountains on the mainland.

Many mountain lakes of extraordinary turquoise and blue hues, located at different heights, and turning into picturesque waterfalls. Indescribable beauty! This is the best tour, must see. We were also on a tour of Istria. Here we visited the Beredine stalactite cave / caves are much steeper in Crimea /, the medieval mountain towns of Grozhnyan / the ancient town of artists and musicians with a population of 70 people /, and Motovun.

In the latter, during the tour, they tasted Croatian alcohol and truffle mushrooms. Both excursions were with a good lunch in restaurants. More attention, comrades! Tour guides in Croatia are very nimble and like to forget tourists. And then they go in search of ancient towns! Such a joke was with us. Instead of us, 2 freaks climbed into our bus in Motovun, they were counted and set off safely. But then they quickly found us, put us in a car and took us to a restaurant.
There was also an excursion on a huge catamaran to the Brioni archipelago - the former residence of I. B. Tito. , with a tour of the island's safari park. They themselves have repeatedly traveled to the nearby city of Porec, as well as the city of Rovinj - Croatian Venice. Beautiful! There is no shopping in Croatia. You can buy various souvenirs, delicious honey, local alcohol for a treat. I brought a painting by a local unknown artist and various handmade souvenirs. There are a great many of them.

In general, we liked it. Croatia is a beautiful country, nice, friendly people, beautiful, rich nature, good service. And for yourself, decide what to watch with a tour, and what on your own. Be sure to go there and see everything with your own eyes, and you will always have time to hang out in Turkey and Egypt. The cons I mentioned in my review were minor for us. They are here only for reliability, as different people come with different requests.
