До 3* Brioni еще далеко 3* Brioni is still far away

Rested with her husband in Croatia, in Brioni in July 2009. We were simply delighted with the country itself, nature, the sea. But the hotel was "surprised", although from the outside it is even nothing. In fact, it is even up to 3 * in Bulgaria, which many consider to be a "soviet" country, oh how far away. And it’s not at all the lack of a refrigerator and air conditioning, we basically didn’t need them there. The room was just very shabby, the furniture was terrible - it was impossible to turn around on the bed, there was such a creak; there was a "small" hole on the tulle curtain, which I could see as soon as I entered the room; on the balcony I constantly met some insects, painfully similar to our cockroaches, but, thank God, they were "embarrassed" to enter the room. The only thing I have no complaints about is the bathroom - the plumbing is new, everything works properly.
As for the hotel staff, I can say that they are all very nice and friendly. But with the "maids" we were again more lucky than others - in 8 days we were never vacuumed (probably they decided that we were clean, but with my mania for cleanliness I notice even the slightest specks of dust), to talk about what was swept away cobwebs and wiped the table on the balcony is just ridiculous. Thank you for changing linen and towels regularly!
Although if you think about it, then all this is trifles. As soon as we left the room, we immediately forgot about everything - after all, there are many things in Croatia that are worth spending time on, and the hotel was personally in last place on this list.

I will also say that many people who arrived with us were quite satisfied, although our rooms were one to one. But as they say, the taste and color...
