I never write reviews about hotels, but now for some reason I wanted to)
For the second year in a row, my family and I are resting in Croatia and, as you understand, we went because we really liked the first voyage.
This time we decided to explore the northern part of the country, so we chose the hotel on an island near the city of Rovinj. In general, I can say that the rest turned out to be a solid four, but I always want more, especially since it cannot be called cheap.
Pros: climate, climate, climate and the cleanest sea in the morning without a single wave, the pleasant city of Roven, the view from the windows, walking birds and fish that you can feed from the pier
Cons: No beaches, constant crowds of tourists from the mainland, a crowded boat.

I also want to share my feelings about Istria in general. The nature here is less picturesque than in Dalmatia for sure. People are drier and aloof. Everyone is doing the right thing, but without a twinkle in their eyes) The food is of very average quality. Even chivapchichi is smaller than in the south. ) Despite everything, the Istra hotel is definitely one of the best in this place. We explored all the coast up to Umag, there is no better place. In Rovinj, five-star hotels do not even have their own beach, in principle, you need to walk 300-500 meters to the terrible public one.
Therefore, I would recommend, at least for families with children, the Aphrodite hotel in Tuč epi, it is much more interesting from all points of view.
