In total, we flew to Split spontaneously, my companion demanded a five-star hotel, therefore, there was not much choice)))) In the city at that time he was alone (I don’t know how it is now). Our flight was traditionally delayed, so we arrived late in the evening. While we were being checked out, the girl just heard that we wanted to drink and without even waiting for a question from us, she very clearly told which bar and how long it was open, what was in the room, and so on. The room was a very pleasant surprise. Huge and very stylish, although we took the standard, if I'm not confusing anything. The bathroom is separated from the room with transparent glass)) here is such an original touch))) but, if desired, the blinds are lowered. The bed is huge! and very!! ! comfortable. Breakfast is very decent. I understand that there will always be dissatisfied, but according to my needs, everything was there. And my favorite jamon as well. Natural coffee must be requested and prepared, if I'm not confusing anything. Fresh - I don’t remember, I don’t think it was. Move on. Internet in the lobby is free, there are computers. Moreover, it takes 15-20 minutes to stomp to the old town along a very busy central street. But then you end up in the old city (the palace of Diocletin - the same Roman emperor who renounced power and went to grow cabbage))))) I really liked it there) In principle, all the main shops, souvenir shops and restaurants are concentrated there. Passing through it you get to the embankment. From the promenade to the nearest beach for another 20-30 minutes on foot. Moreover, I will make a reservation right away, there is no greenery and vegetation along this road, we were in August, and it was hard to walk there during the day. But in the evening - excellent - the heat just subsided. Sometimes we used taxis. But I’ll also make a reservation, a taxi in the city itself is quite expensive (from the Atrium to the beach about 15 euros on the meter), and it’s generally problematic to call it back - there are no phones in the bars on the beaches, and from their bartenders somehow they were not very eager to call and call us taxi))))) It is not customary to vote there - not taxis do not stop, but taxis travel only with passengers. The empty ones stand either in the park or in a special parking lot in the port, all near the same Diocletian's palace. You can get there by bus - everything goes from the same embankment. Travel 2 euros, I think. Further. Be prepared for the fact that all the nearby beaches are quite rocky - definitely not for children. Although the local kids swam there very actively.
