Hotel ratings by criteria:
A couple of days like from "Jadran"! "Jadran" is now positioned as 3 * +, and it corresponds to this. There are clearly more good impressions from the hotel, and here they are:
1) The territory is clean, green, it is clear that it is looked after. Many trees - pines, figs - we could pick fruits right from the balcony : )) Squirrels run.

2) The rooms are decent, renovated, the furniture is new. We had a large private balcony-loggia - but this is on the third floor of the cottage, but on the second - a large common terrace with sun loungers for several rooms, and on the first - exit from the room directly to the sea. It is true that almost all rooms have a sea view, and you do not need to pay extra for this "advantage".
3) The sea is very close, there is practically no need to go anywhere. Sun loungers - free of charge.

4) The beach, however, is not sand and mostly not even small pebbles. In front of the restaurant there are large wide concrete slabs with sun loungers, from which a descent into the sea is equipped. The beach is rocky along the coastline of the hotel, but to the credit of the hotel it must be said that they tried to equip such separate small islands on these stones, where you can sit and sunbathe together, they made comfortable steps to the sea. So we have never sunbathed on a concrete slab, it is much more pleasant and interesting to occupy such a platform above the sea and sunbathe almost separately. For children there is a small piece of the beach strewn with small pebbles. But if you wish, you can walk, to the right and left of "Jadran" there are many beaches with small pebbles, entrance is free everywhere.
5) Quiet. No intrusive and annoying animation and "hooting" of music under the window at three in the morning. On the restaurant terrace, the music is turned off at 12 at night, well, maximum, at half past one. As for me, it's super, it's better to listen to the surf and crickets. And there is always plenty of noise at home.
6) Towels are changed every day, clearly. The bed, however, is changed once a week. But if you ask, they will change earlier.
7) The reception staff is friendly, all the help we needed - info, bus schedules, weather, tel. calls to the guide, etc. - everything was provided to us.
8) Since "Jadran" is in central Dalmatia, it is convenient to get to Split, Sibennik, Plitvice lakes and waterfalls on Krka, other excursions - all this is relatively close. Trogir is so close at all, and it is a very pretty typical Croatian seaside town.
9) Foreigners rest here more than ours. I don’t know, this is subjective, of course, but, based on my previous experience of relaxing anywhere, this is a big plus.
But not without a fly in the ointment, of course:
1) the food is not that great. In principle, everything is edible, tasty enough and you won’t stay hungry, but in the summer you want more fruits - vegetables, and not canned meat and fish pate as a snack. The main dish is laid by the chef, and this is a strictly metered portion. Those who are accustomed to imposing mountains of meat in Turkey, or to go for a supplement - here they can not count on it. Watermelons, plums were regular, but here, for example, peaches (this is in the season when they hang on a tree in the village near every house - they never happened! )

2) there is no refrigerator in the room, or at least a mini-bar. They said that they were allegedly purchased, but they did not fit the size of the new furniture (! ) Of course, you can live, but somehow it's strange... This is the first time I've encountered this. When it's hot, you want cool drinks to be always at hand, and not to constantly run after them to a restaurant. Or here - what if I had a rest with my child? He needs to put the same yogurt in the refrigerator, something else for lunch (in the hotel only breakfasts and dinners).
3) Breakfast ends at 9.30. As for me, this is a big bummer. Reminds me of a pioneer camp. To have breakfast, so as not to collect the remnants of what the previous vacationers swept away, you need to come, well, at most, at 9.10. And get up, that is, at 8.40 somewhere. To be honest, it's almost like a job : ) It doesn't quite fit with the vacation schedule.
4) In the water, there are often stones at the bottom, whether large or small - they are slippery and it is dangerous to walk on them. Therefore, it is important to swim in the sea as soon as possible so as not to touch the bottom. Or wear special shoes. But if you search, you can find sections of the beach with a less rocky bottom.
5) To Trogir, only part of the way (smaller! ) You can go along the sea, then you need to stomp along a busy highway without a sidewalk for about 15 minutes more. Both dangerous and annoying. With children, this is not an option at all, I think. However, there are buses. We were right on schedule.
Basically, probably everything. Despite the mentioned "fly in the ointment", the hotel, on my five-point scale, still deserves to work out its 3 * +, and even with some interest, and probably I would not refuse to stay there again someday.
