The fact that young people have nothing to do there is complete nonsense. If young people want to stupidly get drunk and discos all night - then yes, there is nothing. And so - two football grounds (true, asphalt) pieces 5 tennis courts (ground), table tennis both in the hotel and on the shore, minigolf, basketball courts, volleyball... The nearest town of Trogir is 15 minutes by boat, the boat runs every half an hour until late at night, on the shore - along the entire beach - restaurants with (at night) live music, dancing and all things. In Trogir, a 5-minute walk from the boats, there is a bus station - to all cities of Croatia (it is better to go to Split by ferry - longer, but more pleasant and straight to the historical part of Split). From Medena excursions to anywhere.
The rooms are small, but air-conditioned, with a balcony (we sat there drinking wine in the evening) and sea views. Around the pine forest, pine trees. I do not like the hotel - there are apartments, right there, Medenovskie. A supermarket is a 1-minute walk from the hotel - everything you need is there, including soccer balls, wine, fruits, flippers... I already spoke about restaurants on the beach - from the cheapest fast foods to super-muper. The pay phone is far away - at the post office in Seget, about a kilometer to go. In the hotel itself - rental of scooters, bicycles, cars.
The pine forest is a huge plus. The smell... And even by the sea...

The beach is pebbly, or a concrete pier. There are entrances to the sea both for children in shallow water, and immediately to a depth of 2-3 meters. You can jump from the pier, dive. The beaches are equipped - cabins, toilets, showers, everything. Sunbeds are paid and expensive.
Transfer to the airport takes half an hour maximum, the airport is 7 km from Medena, and not from Trogir - about Trogir 3 km. But the planes do not interfere, they are not heard.
It's great with kids, of all ages. There is a small children's park. Our son is 11 years old, we left him at the hotel when we wanted to go somewhere (if he did not want to). It was enough for him for two or three hours (if they would give more money, it would be enough for more)
Cons - to go up the stairs to the sea for about three minutes - it's hard for the lazy. But through the pine forest. In the sea at the bottom, mostly garbage, diving is not interesting. But a little further - a wild beach, natural. Go further, entering the sea is difficult, but it is beautiful at the bottom. Another minus - a lot of people. From Trogir, everyone goes to the Medenovsky beach. Another possible minus is a real resort where Mom from Prostokvashino went to wear dresses. In any case, entering the sea is not easy, the pebbles are sharp, you can’t enter without shoes. Unless you jump off the pier.
Conclusion: if you are driving in the vicinity of Trogir, then there are two options. Either stay in Trogir itself and go swimming to Meden, or live in Meden and get out on excursions. That is, either swim, ride a boat - or walk. There are a lot of hotels along the coast from the Medena, but still everything revolves around the Medena. It's good for both young and old. You can go with the whole family, including grandparents, everyone will find something for themselves.
