Good afternoon!
Completely agree with the last two reviews.
Hotel Medena is able to completely kill a good idea of Croatia. Except as a hotel for pensioners, it cannot be called. A huge building (a la the worst performance of the Soviet Union). But in a nutshell:
1) Numbers. Good (the only thing that can be called that here), if not for the bath. We lived together. So when the third one went to take a shower, instead of a shower, you could take a bath - the sewerage was clogged decently.
2) Nutrition. What was served for breakfast and dinner cannot be called food - rather food (despite the fact that I am absolutely not picky about food). And constant queues. There was almost no fruit, and when something was taken out, everyone immediately jumped up behind this cart.
And yet - very often came across dirty dishes and uncleaned tables (at breakfast you could see an evening feast).
3) Representative of Zeta (who acted as the host).

There was a guide in Croatia - a young guy. Unfortunately, I didn’t remember the name, because it was difficult for him to speak. It began with the fact that in Dubrovnik (where he picked us up) three tourists did not get on the bus, he - without counting, calmly told the driver to go. And only when we saw that not everyone was on the bus, they returned. Information about Croatia during the 5-hour drive is at least (and that is incoherent). Declared excursions were knocked out almost with claws - he only named the reasons why they were not possible (we got on two days off, and they are not willing to work these days).
But one could turn a blind eye to all this - after all, they came to the sea to rest. An even bigger shock awaited us on the beach - a huge promenade with a lot of tents (only there was no shawarma), a dirty beach and a lot of people. In the Crimea (with its often low service) you still need to look for such a place. We chose one more or less decent place - go down to the embankment along the road from the hotel, turn right and go all the way. There really are nudists there (a little further under the rocks), but as you know, they choose the most beautiful places.
But in these conditions there is salvation - a car!
The hotel has a representative of a car rental company. We took a car and a map for two days and drove off. Have been to:
1) Plitvice Lakes (1st day). It's worth the ride, the beauty is indescribable. And you need to allocate time for a walk about 6 hours (if you take a tour, they allocate 2-4 hours).
The road in one direction takes about 3 hours (most of the way - autobahn).
By the way, if you go, pay attention to which of the parking lots you leave your car in (you can see its location on the map shown on the ticket). After the walk, we came out on the wrong side and took a pretty walk along the road
2) Krk nature reserve (2nd day). After what he saw on Plitvice, of course, he did not make the proper impression. Although, of course, also beautiful
3) Island of Brac (2nd day). We went there by ferry from Split, stood for more than an hour waiting (so it's better to check the schedule in advance). But the expectation did not disappoint us. The island is amazing! We purposefully went to their famous beach - an elongated pebble cape (like a "flattened cone"), which changes its location depending on the current. Around the mountains and a lot of greenery and the open sea.
We stayed there for a few hours, although it's certainly worth spending a whole day there.
And without a car we went by boat to Trogir. Ancient and very cozy city.

The cost of renting together with insurance is 80 euros per day (one of the budget options is Opel Corsa). We spent about 500 kunas (about 70 euros) on gasoline in two days.
So if there is a question of rest in Croatia - be sure to go! But avoid the Hotel Meden in Serzhet (near Trogir).
Have a nice holiday everyone!
