Holidays in Croatia turned out just fantastic! More than 300 photographs were taken on the first day alone. And now I will tell you in more detail and try to give some useful tips.
We rested in Meden for a week without meals. We took apartments, not the hotel itself, because, in my opinion, it is much better to relax in pretty houses near the sea.
Apartments. In the room itself there is a studio room, a bedroom, a refrigerator, a stove, a TV. Everything is pretty good, as for this level. I’ll make a reservation right away - all lovers of luxury a la 5 * in Egypt boldly pass by. Initially, we were not going to sit in the room, we had other priorities - the location and a good beach nearby. And according to these criteria, "Medena" completely satisfied us.

Money. You can change at any bank, there is almost no difference in rates, but there is a commission at the hotel (2%). 100 dollars is 570 kunas, 100 euros is 745 kunas. To make it easier, take the price in kunas and add about 20% - there will be hryvnias.
Nature around. The hotel itself stands in a huge luxurious park, there is a large beach and stone lagoons. We swam in the lagoons - crystal clear water and few people (but mostly nudists! ).
Location. "Medenu" is known to everyone around. This is an old hotel and a famous beach. The very beautiful city of Trogir is 4 km away, you can walk on foot - about 45 minutes at a fast pace. However, the road is inconvenient for walking and during our stay it was very hot. Therefore, you can take a bus (9 kn / h, which is about 11 UAH), or it’s better to catch an intercity bus (the conductor will come to you and it will be 5 kn / h - about 6 UAH) or eat on a boat on the pier on the beach (15 kun). Or even better, just stand at the exit of the hotel parking lot and vote - the Croats will throw you to Trogir for free without any problems. Split (a magnificent city! ) is 25 km away.
Nutrition. We took apartments without food and absolutely did the right thing. In Trogir there is a market where the freshest fish and seafood are brought (until 11 am) and there is always cheese and prosciutto (wind-dried meat is a delicacy). So for 20 Kuna (25 UAH) we bought a bag of seafood and dumped it - very tasty. And so you buy prosciutto (25 Kuna, somewhere around 150 grams) and cheese - and here's a great breakfast for you (well, you can also buy homemade eggs). Near the supermarket "Kozum" - buy there what else is missing.

Prices in institutions in Croatia depend on the city, the most expensive of what we came across is the city of Hvar on the island of Hvar (by the way, be sure to visit the islands) and, of course, Dubrovnik. Average prices are as follows: beer 15-18 kunas (20-23 UAH) for 0.5 local (not bad, but nothing outstanding), fish / meat / pizza 70-120 kunas (from 85 UAH), salads from 30 kunas. Of course, you can eat for 500 kunas for two. However, I do not advise you to eat in obviously tourist places a la embankments of any cities or in establishments right in the center. If you take a low-cost, then: a hamburger (huge, 300 grams) on the street - 20 kunas (24 UAH), a sandwich / hot dog 14 kunas, a slice of pizza (large) 10-15 kunas (12-20 UAH).
By the way! Tap water is absolutely clean and drinkable! This is one of the cleanest waters in the world. You can drink or collect water from any tap.
Trips. You can get anywhere from Trogir by bus. Go to Split right away (18-23 kunas, about 25 UAH) or take a boat for the same money (however, it takes a long time! ). My personal experience: IN NO EVENT DO NOT TAKE CITY TOURS FROM A TOUR OPERATOR. Complete rubbish. A huge bus collects people for an hour, then travels 40 km / h, then delivers for an hour. Upon arrival, the guide will mumble the memorized phrases for half an hour - and go home. Take bus tickets from Trogir and ride yourself. It will be several times cheaper and you will be free - believe me, you yourself will see a lot more. The best places are Split, Sibenik, Dubrovnik, Zadar. And do not listen to any "horror stories" from the tour operator. And DEFINITELY visit the Plitvice Lakes (this is the only thing that the operator can do, because they need a person who knows the route through the park). It's just fantastic. The beauty is incredible. In general, we met the local guide Vedran and went with him - a very good and cheerful person.
Croatia is an incredibly beautiful country! Do not sit in a hotel - ride around the cities - you will not see this anywhere else!
