I'll start with the main one. We (my wife and I) love Bali very much. Maybe that's why I'm a little biased. But whoever reads my reviews may notice that I try to be objective. Now in order. 1. Hotel. We (my wife and I) love Bali very much. Maybe that's why I'm a little biased. But whoever reads my reviews may notice that I try to be objective. Now in order.
1. Hotel.
I already wrote once that if you pay 1-2 thousand dollars for 2 weeks of rest, it is not serious to demand royal apartments and service. But in terms of price-quality ratio, I would put a solid 4. I was in Bali and in the best hotels. But everything is relative. Yes, the renovation would not hurt, but it's clean. The plumbing works. There are no cockroaches (saw once on a flight of stairs). They clean and change towels every day. Bed in a day. Tipping is not required! Tea, coffee, water in the room every day. You can even take a supplement. The rooms are quite dry (surprised). Take the upper floors - you can see the ocean from almost all rooms. The area is large and clean. The pools are open at night! After dinner (or excursions) to swim with a beer - super! The beach is large, the ocean goes away, but you can swim at low tide. Someone saw snakes in the thickets near the reefs (I read in the reviews that you can’t swim because of them).
Now for the bad. The dirtiest beach in the area. True, there are 5s nearby, but still... Breakfast is not very good, fruits - watermelons, mangoes, melons, pineapples alternately. There are practically no vegetables. Meat can always be found on the Catan table. Fried eggs are optional, because there are potatoes, noodles, soups. Juices are not fresh, but normal. There is milk, yoghurts... By the way, scrambled eggs. Chefs have standard frying pans - for 2 eggs. If you want more, take 2-3 plates, but don't ask for more eggs in the pan (doesn't fit! ). Yes, the biggest minus is the Chinese, but this is a special conversation. Although there were Germans, and Australians, and Poles. From Ukrainians - only we! We met a family from Australia - they have been resting in this hotel for 16 years in a row!
2. Prices.
The prices were amazing. They've probably doubled in 2 years! Especially for alcohol. We flew through Jakarta and "flew" past the duty free. Felt! Bali collection has changed. There are more shops. Prices are almost the same as in supermarkets. That is a small difference. So it’s not worth going to Kuta specifically for clothes. Especially considering the price of the road. Taxis remained with the same prices. Kuta is 150 thousand rupees (with expectation), Uluwatu is asked for 200, Denpasar - 200-250. $30-40 per day. The $ itself was 8200-8500 rupees. It is better to change in Baulya. By the way, where to eat. Demand cards for discounts after the first dinner (up to 20%). And there are no non-rolls, as in Collection (although the Russian restaurant there is very tasty! ). Dinner from 150 rupees for two. In Russian - from 200. Beer 27-30 thousand. Big bottle of Bintan. You can dine on the beach. Delicious seafood salads and local soup. Beer in Baulya is 3-4 thousand cheaper! In supermarkets, beer and food are cheaper, but, I repeat, excluding travel. Is it worth it specifically? Ham about 80-100 thousand per 1 kg.
3. Bali.
It is a paradise! True for an amateur! Silence, tranquility, the attitude of the locals, nature - everything is conducive to relaxation. Who is looking for entertainment should go to Thailand. Kuta is also noisy, but very "youthful". We are not old, but skateboards, waves, companies of "wild" Australians, rastamans under the "weed" are not for us.
Output. Love Bali, come not to count eggs and look for cockroaches, but to relax and enjoy nature!

Good afternoon! I was with my husband in July 2011 ("out of season" as it is considered, but the rains did not bother at all, it was at night for about an hour). Two weeks flew by like one bright flash. The flight lasting 12 hours was not even noticed. The hotel is quite good, the price justifies the quality, the only thing I had problems with was opening and adjusting the faucet in the bathroom (well, very tight), the room was a deluxe room with an ocean view-chic!!! ! For breakfast, I ate scrambled eggs, like many others, so there were queues for it, the assortment is not rich, but it’s quite the same breakfast !! ! I really liked the beach because there are few people, and you don’t lie like a man on a man in Turkey, you drive a man. … More ▾ Good afternoon! I really liked the beach because there are few people, and you don’t lie like a man on a man in Turkey, you drive a man. The ocean is waves, this is the ocean, sometimes all sorts of things were nailed, in the form of wrappers, bags and other household garbage. Towels are provided, all for free. We dined in warung (food for locals), and dined with friends in restaurants, and inexpensively, and in different ones. Had a bite twice and in local KFC. Most importantly, we rented a motorbike for 5 days, so I recommend it to everyone, they would have known it before, and they went to Kuta, to discos, there are just a lot of young Australians there. The hotel staff is friendly. In general, everything was super, the main thing is how you feel about you! If anyone needs a guide, a local Balinese who speaks good Russian can give the coordinates. Not expensive excursions, etc.
Beautiful sunsets on the waterfront of Jimbaran, huge shrimp and delicious grilled lobsters!!! ! Parachute flight, rafting on the river. Ayung and much more. . . !!!!!!!!
We will definitely return to Bali in 2-3 years, but for now, to Turkey with a child, since Bali is a paradise for lovers, it is not provided for children, which is a pity : (

I must say that before choosing a hotel, I scoured the Internet for a long time and hard in search of various comments about the hotel. found mostly not very pleasant comments. but at the moment the question was in the cost, so there was nothing much to choose from. Upon arrival at the hotel, the impressions are quite good. yes, the hotel is undoubtedly a bit old, after all, it was built in 1986, my age : ))))) but considering that you have chosen the closed area of Nusa Dua (on which there are only 5 * hotels around, I think that age is not such a big criterion. the hotel itself is its clean, the staff is very helpful, there are 2 cafes on the territory and inside (one inside, between the 2nd and 3rd floors, one near the pool (where they cook awesome cream soup), a spa where beautiful girls will do a full body massage for 60 dollars (procedure lasts 1.5 hours), there is a swimming pool (for children and adults, the depth is around 1.5 meters, chlorinated every day around 7 pm, you can calmly come to swim at night, there is lighting). the hotel itself is difficult to navigate in the first days, the labyrinths are like that, but after literally standing for a couple of minutes at the map (on the 2nd), everything is quite easy to remember, the main thing is to understand which wing you are in. 4-storey hotel. we lived on the 4th floor, our friends on the 3rd. there were no complaints about room service, dental accessories, bathroom accessories are changed every day, linen and bathrobes are changed 2 times a week, on request the bathrobe can be changed more often. breakfast is excellent too. from 7 to 10. usually by 10 there is not much left, but we have never been hungry. for breakfast 2-3 types of freshly squeezed juices, tea, coffee, fried eggs (fried eggs or scrambled eggs), bacon, fruits, who likes a hearty breakfast, you can always find various meat and vegetable dishes along with a side dish. A beautiful alley leads to the pool and to the ocean. As for the ocean, I have never seen garbage (about which so much is written in the reviews), the beach is always clean. for 2 weeks of being there, there was only 2 times a strong ebb of mers, so at 200. all sotal time, the ocean is clean and tidal, I don’t recommend swimming at night, because, firstly, you can’t see anything, and secondly, people met water snakes. so welcome to the pool! the sand is soft, you can polish your heels : )))) compared to other 5 * hotels, the sand is the best! no small shells or algae! Literally to the right, to the left of our territory, about the strongest ebb, then otsry sand, then a bunch of algae! inna putri has the cleanest beach! yes, even if the beds are not as beautiful as those of the Grand Hayat, so what difference does it make on which bed you lay a towel on ??????!!! ! I still write a lot about insects in the hotel, I haven’t met a single one (birds and chipmunks are not considered : ))))))) what they write about the ocean view, there is no such view, so you shouldn’t overpay for the ocean view, of course there is a view , if not for palm trees : ))))) I recommend this hotel for those who will just sleep there, and the rest of the time is under the caressing rays of the Indonesian sun!!! !

On the hotel website it is also 5 *, but it was sold to us as 3+. More like 3+))
Flight
Nord Wind Company The plane is quite new, the food was good there, but it was just awful on the way back Flight 12 hours, 13 hours back is exhausting, but it's worth it
After flying for 12 hours, from the winter we ended up in "paradise" (even the airport is called the Gate to Paradise) Visa 25 dollars and then back upon departure a fee of 15.000 rupees
We read in the reviews that they hang a flower necklace when leaving the plane, but we were not lucky, although later we saw them on arriving tourists. Already at the airport there is a very picturesque nature, a lot of flowers and greenery. From the airport to the hotel about 30 minutes (if there are traffic jams, otherwise it’s faster)
Hotel
They settled very quickly, the room was given on the 4th floor, the view is not the ocean, some tried to change the room, but ours suited us: the elevator is close, which leads to the reception and the breakfast restaurant on the 2nd floor.
From the room itself, at first they were shocked, especially from the bath: everything was shabby, old, the taps in the bathroom were rusty, the bath itself too
Over time, they stopped noticing, since they only spent the night in the room
There is a TV in the room, a Russian channel is indicated, but it was tuned to us only a week later. Cleaning in the room every morning, towels too (even in the evening they bring), the bathrobe is not changed. Every day 2 bottles of water (small ones) were brought to the room.
The territory is small and less picturesque compared to neighboring hotels, but hotels such as Grand Hyatt and Ayiodia are nearby and many “hang out” in them (the hotels are connected by footpaths), the main thing is not to show that you are not from this hotel.
For example, we did just that, but from our hotel some compatriots were “expelled” outside
Of course, everything is known in comparison: in these hotels there is real beauty, developed infrastructure (a large number of different types of pools, jacuzzis with hot and cold water, slides, etc. )
There are few sun loungers on the beach, many occupy at 6 in the morning. Those who did not have time sunbathe on a mattress without a sunbed. The role of umbrellas is played by sprawling trees.
Entertainment
From entertainment, water sports (we rode a scooter) and bicycles for rent $ 3 per hour
Discos are all in Kuta on Legian street. On this street, entrance to all discos is free, music for all tastes. Hashish and Viagra are offered right on the street! All discos are filled with deranged Australians under the age of 20, who hang out in the same as they were on the beach - in swimsuits and shorts, flip flops, and many barefoot. But the fun is indescribable! ! !
Food
Breakfasts are very modest, but you can eat: croissants, toast, jam, fruit, cheese (similar to our melted cheese), papaya juice, scrambled eggs or scrambled eggs, be sure to have something meat (usually spicy in their style) and a side dish, rice porridge with chicken, tea, coffee and juices are instant.
In the afternoon we usually ate in a small cafe Yasa Segara (if you look at the ocean, then to the right 2-3 minutes walk) Good food and reasonable prices We took fresh juices and juices, hot and soups - everything is quite tasty. Once we ate in a cafe on the beach itself - it was tasteless and the prices were high, plus a 21% tax.
In the evening we went to the village of Bualu (from the entrance to the hotel to the left 5 minutes), there is a small street right behind the checkpoint where shops and restaurants begin
We were in Loko Cafe - I didn’t like either the food or the atmosphere, then every day we passed by there, as usual, there were no visitors, while in the rest there are always a lot
Mai Mai is a good restaurant, we watched national dances there, the menu is varied, but we decided to try the "Balinese" duck and chicken - it's impossible to eat pepper!
Beer Garden is a German-style restaurant, there are pictures of views from different countries on the walls, there is even our Red Square Live music and singing - they sing in all languages, in Russian "Murka", "Vladimir Central", "Black Eyes", "A should I sing a song ..."etc.
I also liked the food, there is a free salad bar
Kakadu - here we had dinner all the other days, while in others we were 1-2 times.
The interior is not as pretentious as in others, everything is very simple, but sincerely Very friendly staff, delicious food (everything they took there was pleasant, but they took different every day), the prices are pleasantly surprising (dinner for two is about $ 15 without alcohol) In all restaurants offer fresh and mixes, tried all sorts, settled on mango and strawberries, but for some reason other restaurants didn’t have either (mostly papaya, banana, orange, lime, watermelon, melon), but in Kakadu you are always welcome.
Of the dishes, delicious fish in sweet and sour sauce, grilled fish, fish in tiriyaki sauce, mai-mai fish in lemon sauce, delicious Caesar salad with shrimp, grilled chicken, cordon bleu chicken and much more
Live music and singing on weekends
All restaurants provide a transfer from the hotel to the restaurant and back At the first visit, ask for a discount next time (they give a discount card) Basically, it is summed up (2 times 5%, then 10% and max 15-20%)
We ate sushi in "Ryoshi" - this is a restaurant in Kuta, to the right of the water park, about 5 minutes walk. We liked it - a large selection and prices cannot be compared with Russian ones - much cheaper.
If you want real impressions - you are in Jimbaran - this is a fish village. Tell the taxi driver "old Jimbaran" because the new one is the same, but more expensive.
Our guide recommended Cafe Menega to us, we liked it very much! All restaurants are close to each other, tables are on the sand to the ocean. First, come, choose and book a table (remember its number), go to the kitchen and choose fish and seafood yourself. We took a delicious red snapper, shrimp (they didn’t fit on a plate! ), mussels. There are a lot of things and lobsters, and crabs, squids, etc. knew this and ordered separately french fries and salads - it’s unreal to eat everything!
It is worth going there at 5 pm to watch the sunset and how the planes land in the rays of sunset. When it gets dark, candles are lit, it's beautiful and romantic. Sit down only on the first line from the ocean, further is not the same!

SPA
We went to the SPA near the Kakadu restaurant in the village of Bualu "Bali Refresh" - a very decent place and reasonable prices: a massage for 1.5 hours $ 30, a body mask $ 25, but in general they offer a lot of things and give a discount

money, shopping
The rupee rate is 8880 per dollar when exchanging $ 100 bills and further, the smaller the bill, the more unprofitable the rate, so bring large ones from Russia for exchange
The exchanger is good in the village of Bualu near the Adimart supermarket (we were frightened by dishonest Balinese, but we didn’t encounter this anywhere, but it’s better to count several times and be careful, because at first it’s hard to deal with these zeros - exchanged $ 200 and you are a millionaire! )
In Kuta in Matahari they bought clothes, everything else in Bualu: food, fruits in Adimart, souvenirs - there are many small shops
Bargain everywhere, feel free to name the price 2-3 times less For example, if they say 12.000, then you will definitely buy it within 5.000

Tours
We overslept the meeting with our guide from Pegasus due to the flight and the time difference (as we realized later, we lost a little), we came to the end when she was already collecting money for excursions - many scored $ 500-1000 Pegasus prices are too high. We knew about this in advance from the Internet, so we didn’t buy anything from the guide at all
We read that it’s more profitable and more convenient to take a guide with a car for a day and drive yourself and that it costs $60-70 per car, but in general, how can you agree - our tourists found it for $40, we first found it for $35 - in the Kakadu restaurant our agency and a girl works there, calls herself Anya in Russian, speaks broken Russian, but as an option it’s very normal.
But in the end we went with Christiano (as he calls himself), agreed with him for $ 25 for the whole day. True, he only speaks English (at a good level), but we were only happy to practice the language. Not only did he take us everywhere, he also walked with us and told, showed and photographed everything. All the Russians also bought a local Simpati SIM card for calls to Russia and communication with locals, which cost about $ 15 with replenishment, and he himself gave it to us so that we would call him and when we ran out of money on it he went and replenished it himself, refused to take money from us. He spoke very interestingly, knows a lot about the country and other countries.

1 day we went
- Barong dance (acting in the national style takes about an hour, price $ 9), then the park - Safari entrance $ 35 - I liked it very much: elephant show, white tiger feeding, aquariums, safari itself - you get on the bus with a guide and watch animals in the natural environment (according to advertising about 60 types)
- Dreamland Beach - a beautiful beach with many surfers, huge waves - it's unlikely to swim, but it's beautiful!
- Uluwatu Temple to see the sunset and the monkeys - only they are very aggressive there and before entering you need to remove everything shiny and it’s better to remove everything from your hands. Before our eyes, the monkey snatched the wallet from the Australian with money and credit cards and they didn’t catch up with her
2 day
Waterboom water park in Kuta $ 25 entrance and plus you need to put a credit for renting a towel, a safe, and if you buy something on the territory, they put an electronic bracelet on your hand. Lots of slides and fun
Sushi restaurant "Ryoshi"
Matahari Shopping Center - souvenirs, clothes, etc.
3 day
Batik workshop
Bird Park and Reptile Park entry $26 - great! Incredible nature and birds, you can take pictures with animals - $ 1, the nature of different parts of Indonesia and other countries is recreated on the territory
Painting workshop
Pearl Workshop
Wood carving workshop
Orchid Park (admission $ 8) - nothing special, everything is very poor
The Kecak dance takes place after sunset - it's a dance with fire, the actors go into a trance and dance on coals - impressive

On foot from the hotel you can go to the right from the beach for about 40 minutes walk a beautiful beach near the rocks and a temple on the mountain, to the left until the end you will reach a beautiful park, a beach and a beautiful view of the waves beating against the rocks

I'll start with WHAT I DID NOT FIND FOR MYSELF in the reviews. About the hotel: there are beach towels, you don’t have to carry one with you (you can, of course, grab one, for a comfortable swim in the pool at night, it is round-the-clock, closed for chlorination from 21:00 to 22:00). There are bathrobes in which it is convenient to go to the pool at night. They changed them once.
There is a kettle in the room; And much more expensive than, for example, in Thailand and often not tasty cooked. You can eat cheap and tasty in Kuta, for example, in Centro, there are cool pastries on the 1st floor, and 4 very cheap cafes (but you won’t go there specially, so on occasion)
Hotel-territory, lobby and other premises are beautiful, the rooms are not ah. Everything is old, but it works. Be sure to visit the territory of neighboring hotels - especially on the right - (there is the Grand Hyatt) - that's where a piece of heaven on earth is!
Our first room on the 3rd floor, we didn’t like it, there was a very unpleasant smell (it’s often there in the rooms), we approached the reception, agreed and changed it to the Deluxe on the 4th floor. Everything is the same there, only there is no smell and a view of the ocean.
Breakfast is the weakest of the 7 hotels and countries in which we have been. If you go on an excursion and have breakfast at 7-8, when the Chinese eat en masse (and there are many of them), then there is simply no sausage, cheese, or meat.
The ocean is dirty! Algae, bags, trash, cups, flip flops, labels, etc. They clean the beach and bury the garbage in the sand, then it all pops up again. Neighboring beaches were cleaned better, and the ocean was cleaned with nets and garbage was thrown into bags. THERE BASIC AND SWIM. The ocean is not predictable at all, it’s all warm, sometimes in layers, cold, warm, sometimes a strong current in one direction, then in the other, there are corals and fish, but once it was very hard to swim back, don’t get carried away, first check how it swims back. Either it is deep, or it is almost non-existent. But it smells great! You probably won't get much pleasure from swimming in the ocean. If only you're lucky, there will be no debris and a strong wave.
At other resorts in Bali, there is no garbage in the ocean, but a very strong wave and the sea leaves so that it is often not visible beyond the horizon. And so often.
Excursions: Borrowed from locals. 30-40 dollars (car for 4-6 people) for 8 hours. In principle, I don’t want to recommend anyone. I want to describe their methods of deception.
1) Whether in the bureau (for example, near Kakadu), near the hotel, they speak decent Russian with you and promise that the guide who will arrive will either be the person who is currently communicating with you, or SPEAK RUSSIAN well. THEN ANOTHER COMES who does not speak Russian (English), or speaks poorly. Allegedly, the first person with whom you agreed fell ill. And this happened more than once. Even if this guide has already been tested by other tourists, remember THAT IT IS NOT A GUARANTEE that you will be the same. Set the condition that if another arrives, the payment will be lower.
Excursions from tour operators are more expensive. In general, choose for yourself. Fighting locals or spending a decent amount of extra money.
5) When you are told the price of a trip, find out if fuel is included and, for example, the use of air conditioning.
It is better to buy a SIM card from echelcom, but you will not find it in Nusa Dua. Take the Temkomcel Collection to Bali. A call to Russia is about 9 rubles per minute. And bargain when buying SIM cards for replenishment, they wind up strongly. It is advisable to find replenishment points in Kuta, there are almost no%.
The cheapest souvenirs at the market near the Tanah Lot temple. Bargaining formula in Bali discount 70%, agree on 50%. No, we're leaving.
Food value for money liked in Kakadu.
About the good: The island is beautiful, a lot of interesting things. I really liked rafting for 50 USD FROM LOCAL GUIDES (river Ayung, ROUTE 9 km). The beauty there is extraordinary. Temples of Tahan Lot and Royal. Bird parks, monkey parks (entrance $26 per person), orchid park ($5). Monkey Forest Ubud (if you don't want monkeys to jump on you) it's better to come without bananas. Entrance costs 20.000 per person. You can't see the volcano on a rainy cloudy day, which happened to us, go on a sunny day (and don't dine there for 10 bucks for total crap). Very beautiful terraced rice fields.
Tour operator ITM grope, host of Vizi Tour, liked everything, meeting, guide Russian girl Vika, gives a lot of information you need. Thanks. At the Capital tour guide, for example, barely spoke Russian.
Conclusion: Fly to Bali, tune in for a good excursion with a large abundance of exotics. Interesting, even if it's not the first country in Asia. We liked. It is better to choose Singapore Airlines as a carrier. Even with a change in Singapore, people flew in satisfied with everything. We are very tired for a direct flight at 12 o'clock. It is outrageous that nothing works, and you have to pay 1000 rubles for a player with movies. Food is poor, hungry. Take a snack with you on the flight. When it is not possible to swim in the ocean, step to the right to the neighboring Grand Hyatt, THERE ARE GORGEOUS POOLS. The staff at the hotel is pleasant, polite, they asked for a needle and thread, they did not have time on the elevator until 4th floor. to get, as we have already brought everything.

Grandson's birthday (May 21) was celebrated at the Laguna restaurant.
A ticket was bought in Lugansk in the travel agency 7 Seas (state of emergency
Mikhailov). There are no complaints about the travel agency, thanks to Margarita - that's all
was carried out clearly. The sending party is Pilot Kyiv,
the host country is Visi Tur Bali.
excellent. Thanks to the meeting party manager Tua
for the solution and help in all matters.
The flight Kyiv-Istanbul-Singapore-Denpasar is very difficult.
Thank you so much to everyone who left positive feedback.
about the hotel (due to negative reviews, we almost abandoned the trip). Only thanks to them, we had a wonderful vacation
at the Inna Putri Balli hotel.
About the hotel. The hotel is old but beautiful.
Green territory. There is always water in the ocean, even at low tide.
There is algae at high tide (but everywhere in the oceans there are tides
and low tides and there are algae). If you want clean water, then
there are seas - you go there)
Our room was good 3100, there was no living creatures, except for small ants (we did not leave the balcony open in the bathroom, according to the advice from the review, everything was closed). Everything worked in the room.
The mini-bar is paid. They cleaned the room well (they left $ 1-2).
Breakfast at the hotel is not very good, but we were not hungry.
The main contingent of vacationers are Chinese (they did not bother us,
we saw them only until 8-00 for breakfast and after 19-00 at
basin), Russians, Italians and Germans.
We ate in the village restaurant Laguna. Were May-May (more expensive and smaller than Laguna), Kakadu (did not like it). We bought souvenirs in Bali Kolekshin or in the village. We went to Kuta
Mata Hari is nothing interesting there and the prices.
On excursions, they took a car (near the hotel $ 35-50), say
what you wanted to see and you are being taken there.
In general, a good hotel, a beautiful island, friendly
people. We liked everything (especially the grandson) because we knew why we were going, all the pros and cons of the hotel. I agree with all the positive reviews.
Happy holidays everyone.

The hotel is of course a little old, it feels like there was no repair for a long time, but the territory is quite large, beautiful, all in greenery, friendly staff. We got a good number, no complaints, but our friends from St. Petersburg had to change, because. the air conditioner barely worked and the plumbing is very old. Breakfast is so-so, but we were not hungry (fried eggs, toast, bacon, pastries, salads, jams, fruits, tea, coffee). Yes, and at breakfast we were 8 times out of 14 days. Usually we ate in the evening, and there was enough until lunch the next day, but we had breakfast before the excursions. The people rest are different, 75% are Russians, 10% are Chinese, the rest are mixed (Italians, French, Germans (where without them)). Holidays i. e. Christmas and the Old New Year were celebrated in Kuta, in different clubs. We had a blast, especially the Bounty, we lit it up with the Australians, we even danced at the bar, in short it was fun. Then in the morning they improved their health in the ocean. Swimming, after the party, I’ll tell you guys it’s great, better than beer, but if the ocean + beer, it’s generally full of ottyag. We had lunch and dinner either in Bali Collection, to the right of the hotel, or in the village of Bualu, to the left of the hotel along the road to the barrier with security. In Bali Collection, I liked the Japanese restaurant, the menu is varied, the restaurant is cool inside, the food is delicious, and they also give discounts, unless of course it’s good to insist. In general, prices in Bali Collection are quite high, and restaurants do not include 21% tax in their prices, so we were unpleasantly surprised by this. In Bualu, in all restaurants, the price is already indicated with all percentages, at least in those restaurants where we were. And we were in May-May, Kakadu, Laguna, Tropical. We usually ate at Kakadu. It is located on the other side of the road than all the others, and somewhere further away by 30-50 meters. Their food is delicious, varied, the prices are not high, the service is on the level. There is Russian cuisine. Very cool borscht, not in all Moscow restaurants, you will be served this. I really liked Baby Guling (only not a la carte), but a completely suckling pig. Ordered for the day. With our St. Petersburg friends, they grinded for both cheeks. I didn’t like it in Laguna, there were a lot of complaints about food, and in general, when my wife saw a rat there near the stage, she said that she didn’t go there again, by the way, on the beach, many tourists did not speak very much about this institution. I also liked Mai-Mai, more expensive than in Kakadu, but the food is also delicious. We went to Kuta to the Bubble Gum restaurant (it is located near the water park). Everything in it is stylized as a Forest Gump film, and this film is played non-stop in the restaurant). There are the most delicious ribs, as well as assorted shrimp.
Take tours from locals. Near Kakadu there is a local travel agency. Various excursions, price list in Russian, with a detailed and very high-quality description of excursions, prices are reasonable, the staff speaks Russian quite well. If you take a tour there, the discount for dinner in Kakadu is 20%. We went to the hot springs (quite far, but worth it), two pools with thermal water, one hot, the other less. And a cool pool. First you sit in a hot (acceptable) pool, and then you jump into a cool one. Just a thrill. And by the way, the effect of rejuvenation (recipe from gobunka horse) on the face, mine was delighted. We were in Uluwatu, the forest of monkeys. I won’t tell you a lot of truthful information on the Internet, I’ll say one thing, it’s worth a trip.
We also went diving (I found a site in Moscow in advance). The owner is Russian, the instructor we got the same Russian. Everything is set to a good level, the equipment is new, the diving program is interesting. The price for Oren Water 2 dives is $125. It was possible to take diving from the locals on the beach, but I did not dare, although the Russian guys said that everything was at a good level.
In general, we liked Bali: very beautiful nature, interesting and original culture, friendly and smiling (although not too strange) people, full of energy. Everything is conducive to returning here again.
Good luck,
Egor.

I do not advise you to opt for Bali in general, and even more so at the Inna Putri Bali hotel!

Don't mess with Tropicana. They do not work professionally in everything! For example, the guide Julia simply forgot to warn the guests of this hotel about the postponement of the Moscow flight by 5 hours, because of which we spent 7.5 hours at Bali airport...

Main.

Rested with the company from 22.03 to 04.04. 2009

Expectation:
It was evident from the pictures and reviews that the hotel is simple, old, relatively inexpensive, that you need to go to Kuta for entertainment and club life. The shortcomings had to be compensated for by excellent weather, a large well-groomed hotel area, a picturesque beach (without strongly pronounced low tides), interesting excursions, developed infrastructure in terms of restaurants and souvenir shops ...and, of course, Balinese hospitality : )

Realities:
The weather was really great! Hooray! And it was allowed to swim at night in the pool.
On this, in fact, the pluses end. Kettle in the room – last plus/

And now, dear reader, make yourself comfortable, I begin my story : )

Importing alcohol to Bali.
Moscow Duty Free claims that you can bring 2 liters of alcohol per person into Bali. Bullshit! In the best case, when leaving the airport for each extra liter, the Bali man will offer to give him from $10 to $30, in the worst case, leave the excess at the airport or drink J

Hotel ZAPADLO
The hotel is very old, EVERYWHERE cockroaches, ants, as if it's not 4+ in Bali, but 2* in Goa : (
On the first day, we were placed in a room overlooking the construction site and the road, and we could not pay attention to the shabby furniture, the faucet in the bathroom that did not close, clods of dust on the floor, goosebumps on the bedside table, burnt out light bulbs and frankly dirty bed linen and towels, but I couldn't close my eyes to several dozens of ants merrily running around the sheet and pillow.
After the second persistent attempt to change the number in intelligible English, clapping their eyes and throwing up their hands, they answered: “There are no numbers. Tomorrow after twelve. To the logical question: “Where to sleep tonight? ” suggested spraying bed linen with insect repellant spray and sleeping on it. Horror. As a result, I had to sit half the night in the Internet room at the hotel, climbing up on a chair with my feet and moving away from the walls, so as not to come into contact with cockroaches. And the second part of the night is spent in the lobby of the hotel, not far from the receptionist who was sleeping in the same place (! ).
In general, the next day the room was changed to a more or less normal one, there were fewer insects.
The name of the hotel was chosen by us not by chance. From the first day of my stay, the ZAPADLO hotel presented me and my friends with unpleasant surprises with a frequency of ~ 30 minutes.
Either the elevator does not go, then it closes when the passenger exits, then the air freshener automatically splashes in the face, then the air conditioner does not work, then the cards for entering the room do not work, then in the middle of the reception there is an oil painting: a huge cockroach and a bunch of goosebumps that attacked him and no one if it doesn’t, then 3 dumb-headed Balinese, having sold an Internet card, try to activate it for 40 minutes, then in a gift box of a Bingo prize won in a hotel competition - a dead cockroach. I understand that this is Asia, but in normal hotels (for example, in the nearby Grand Hyatt) and in good restaurants (of which there are very few), disinfection is everywhere every day and such lawlessness was not noticed. By the way, the hotel itself is still positioning itself as a 5 *!
Running ahead. Yes, there are good hotels in Bali, for example, the same 5+* Grand Hyatt (now renamed), where you can relax with comfort and relatively good service. Question WHY?
The beach everywhere in Nusa Dua is not clean enough, the water is muddy, there is always a lot of algae, I have seen floating debris in the water several times. And most importantly! I saw all the main sights of Bali. Well, nothing special at all. In comparison with other countries, the same Thailand - everything is insipid! And, having paid in this way from $ 3.500 for a good hotel for 2 weeks, taking from $ 2.000 with you (ice cream costs 7.000 rupees - $ 7), the prospect of a normal holiday looms, unless of course you go beyond the territory. With the same success, you can go to the Dominican Republic, to the Emirates, to Europe, finally, anywhere! …

The hotel staff is stupid, rude and uneducated. Plus with an idiotic sense of humor.
For example, when a poisonous (as it turned out later) insect flew into our room, similar to a huge flying cockroach with a hobod, the sanitation personnel were in no hurry to come, and when, rebounding from fear, he nevertheless killed it, he rejoiced with colleagues that “the cockroach » not red, so his bite can be cured ...it would. But from a bite of red - no. Nightmare : (

Well, since the conversation turned to the local population, I hasten to inform you, my precious reader, that they, in the vast majority, do not like Russians. There may be reasons for this, but that's not the point. The bottom line is that no matter how you smile - the goal is the same - to shake out the max amount of money. Once an employee of the exchange office at the hotel, in a confidential conversation in English, admitted that the hotel was imprisoned for the Chinese and crazy Russians, whom all Balinese can not stand! And I was very embarrassed when I found out that we are not Americans.
The same incident was during breakfast with the staff, only we were mistaken for the French. Similarly, with masseuses on the beach: as soon as they find out that you are from Russia, and even more so from Moscow (for some reason), the attitude changes dramatically in a negative direction.

Breakfast is a total joke. I think it’s not worth writing about the fact that all food is peppered, and there is nothing to eat except watermelons (delicious by the way), eggs in different versions and unleavened cereals. And even about the fact that the staff is lazy and not quick ...I will write about rudeness and lawlessness. More than once we encountered a situation where, at a request to make scrambled eggs from 3 eggs, the staff indignantly asked again, then said that it was a lot and indecent, then went to suck on this topic with one of my colleagues in the kitchen (if there was a constant queue for scrambled eggs), and some were even denied right away! It doesn’t fit in my head, a buffet)) And this x. in relation to the Russians every day happened, just a circus!
Yesterday at breakfast, my Russian friend, a healthy man, went for scrambled eggs from 3 eggs. And to this request, with an evil grin, the servant declares: “No! Only 2! » - and breaks 2 eggs. So he came up and drove himself the third himself : ).
Every day in suspense. . Bali. . the island of dreams! J: )

Fun!
Bali has its own traditions, its own religion, customs - and that's great! . . as long as it does not interfere with tourists to rest. So-called "ceremonies" often take place, expressed in loud monotonous and very nasty music playing everywhere, in particular in the hotel, in tedious howling prayers and ...closed restaurants and shops! ) Moreover, it will be an unpleasant surprise for you, because no one considers it necessary to warn about such trifles.
But the guide warned us about one ceremony: the Balinese New Year! March 26th.
The bottom line: from 6 pm local time from the 25th you can’t leave the hotel at all, and on the 26th you can’t leave the hotel, you can’t go to the beach and swim in the sea all day! , you can’t go out to eat (breakfast-based package), you can’t talk loudly and you need to be prepared for the complete absence of electric light! True, the light in the room can be turned on by pulling the curtains tightly. I had to get up at 5.30 in the morning to take sun loungers by the pool, and then take an involuntary part in the tragicomedy called: “Sochi of the 90s” or “I wonder if there is more Water or People in the pool? » And in the evening we drank in the room. No comments……. . : (

All hope for Kuta!
Having finally understood that Nusa Dua is a lousy place, we went to Kuta.
Well, what can I say about Kuta . . ; ) Dirt, semi-darkness, as elsewhere, in exchangers they are trying to deceive, poverty, malevolence, obsession ...Were in several discos, including the most famous "Bounty".
There are practically no Russians, crowded people, locals, Chinese, Australians ...all scary, dumb, in tattered clothes . . 99% are either stoned or drunk. Well, this is understandable - in their right mind there is nothing to do in Kut. Just look at the beach - I'm extremely sorry that I didn't take a picture! It's just trash: every 20 cm there is garbage! Chip bags, bottles, paper, cores, candy wrappers, cans - a huge city dump! It must be seen. . And of course, along the embankment, everyone offers drugs, everything, everything and everyone! Welcome to Bali!
- - You can find cool things for the interior in Kuta's "Discovery Shopping Mall"! And that's a big plus : )

Fruits are sold only in some supermarkets, and all of them are not juicy and tasteless (except for watermelons). Maybe not the season...
We also visited the bird park (very small) reptile park, in the village of Ubud, in the temple of Tanah Lot (unfortunately, at low tide) with a disgusting smelly market, in the monkey forest, went to Jimbaran, at the temple of Uluwatu watched the Kachek dance, where a Russian woman from the front row at the end of the performance received severe burns, due to the fact that safety precautions are zero. Not to mention the fact that the tourists sat almost on each other's heads and in the aisles - this small arena was not designed for such a number of tourists. And is it normal that on the way to the arena where the dance takes place, on the right there is a bewitching view of the ocean and rocks, really very impressive, and on the left - Garbage, right next to the temple and on the ENTIRE territory there are heaps of garbage that have not been cleaned for months! And it's in one of the most popular tourist spots in Bali. So you can analyze in detail each excursion!
And generally speaking!
I come to the conclusion that the quality of holidays in Bali has been declining at the speed of light in recent years.
It would seem that the nature on the island is gorgeous! the climate is great! the sky is starry! History, temples, once built good hotels - great! .........It is only necessary to SUPPORT and PRESERVE natural resources, the level of service, improve what has already been achieved, develop infrastructure, make efforts, work at least partly for the future! And the policy in Bali, unfortunately, boils down to something else: "Use what is left until it loses its tourist attractiveness, milk the maximum amount of money from each tourist, fuck everything you can - in general, they live one day ...." It's all the fault of narrow-mindedness, greed and blasphemy! Sadly : (

Summary.
Of course, resting is not working, and if you are guided by the principle: good weather is 50% of a successful holiday, then half the rest will be possible : )

Bonus!
(for the most devoted readers and those who nevertheless decided to visit this Paradise on the planet): when buying dollars for a trip, make sure that they are of the “correct series” : )
Old series dollars cannot be exchanged anywhere at all, including the airport, banks and private exchangers. It is also impossible to pay them, respectively. You should not take a new series of money either, they will be exchanged for you at a reduced rate : )

We rested in Bali for 2 weeks from March 13 to March 28.2009, two girlfriends. The Inna Putri Bali Hotel Cottages & Spa is very beautiful, made in the national Balinese style and has a heart-shaped territory. The Inna Putri Bali Hotel Cottages & Spa is very beautiful, made in the national Balinese style and has a heart-shaped territory. (birds sing in the tropical garden, frogs croak in ponds, fish swim, squirrels run along the balconies of rooms, many religious statues of architecture) It is famous for its gorgeous beach, which is one of the few where the tides are not so pronounced, there are practically no waves and the beach itself is clean with white sand, sunbeds under the crown of trees and there are individual mushrooms. We traveled the entire coast of the beaches of Bali and concluded: If you want to enjoy the clean ocean and the nature of the resort, choose the Nusa Dua area. Jimbaran is more modest, not so populated, you will be bored. Kuta is mud, big waves, and what is a paradise for surfers, there is not even a place on the beach. Seminyak - not impressed, many locals. The pool is open 24/7 (one for children and one for adults). There is a poolside bar where they prepare wonderful cocktails from tropical fruits, and there is also a cafe on the beach where you can always have a bite to eat. There is always live music in the lobby bar of the hotel, the staff is very polite, responsive and helpful, they love Russians very much and almost everyone can speak Russian. Near the hotel, a 5-minute walk, there is a large shopping center Bali Collection, where you can buy everything from souvenirs, clothes, which are then exported to Singapore, where they are packed and sent to Europe, ending with food, a lot of restaurants and cafes for every budget with Russian menu, there is also a museum of the history of Bali nearby. Breakfast at the hotel is poor, but quite acceptable to fill up. Fresh fruits, bacon, scrambled eggs, yogurt, salads, pastries, juices, cereals and soups. The hotel has an evening bar until 1 am, where you can enjoy wonderful live music, perform any repertoire in any language. Overall, the hotel is great, but in need of a refurbishment.
If you want nightlife, then they are all concentrated in Kuta (actually on the coast of Seminyak) the most popular. We advise you to visit "Deja Vu" (great place, good service, the audience is mostly Europeans, modern music (DJ plays), few Russians know this place), "66" - entrance is paid, open from 12 at night! In Kuta itself, a good place is Hard Rock Café (noisy, but the audience is decent, you can always get to know each other and continue the evening. In order to get into the club, just buy a cocktail at the entrance, the place is air-conditioned), Bounty (not recommended) - has three floors, a lot drunken surfers, local Zhigalos and priestesses of love, dirt around, admission is free. PEOPLE!! ! If you are young, beautiful, be sure to take evening dresses with you. In the morning you are on the beach, in the afternoon you are on an excursion, in the evening you are hanging out in Kuta, they will come in handy for you !! ! Do not believe that you will not need anything other than shorts and a T-shirt. Although many dressed that way.
We advise you to take excursions not from agencies, but to rent a local driver for the whole day and you can safely travel the whole island with him, showing you the places you want to visit, they can even make a program for you.
If you go to the Uluwatu monkey temple, take off your valuables, they are very aggressive there, and love fresh fruits and nuts. Elephant riding $70 for 15 minutes - a little expensive compared to Thailand. Drivers stand outside the hotel and offer services themselves. Price per day - from 30 to 40 dollars. We advise you not to go to the Kintamani volcano, it is very tiring, and you will not see the volcano itself close. The orchid park did not impress, even in our Botanical Garden it is better and more picturesque. The zoo is screwed up.
Be sure to visit the temple of Tanah Lot and Tanah Aayun. Be sure to watch the popular Balinese dances - Legong and Kecak (the Inna Putri Bali hotel hosts such shows together with dinner, musicians also sing) I was impressed by the bird and reptile park, where you can take pictures for a nominal fee with an iguana, elephant turtle, cockatoo, macaw, python.
About restaurants: a very large output of dishes, almost every restaurant provides a free service (transfer from the hotel to the restaurant and back) You just need to go to the reception and say: Please could you order taxi free for us, and give the restaurant business card, and the staff will contact restaurant and they will come for you. Balinese cuisine is very tasty and varied. Don't like spicy food - ask for non-peppered when ordering a grill, specify strongly - medium or very fried.
Buy only locally produced sunscreens with a protection factor of 50!!! . We first tried the local 50 (we sunbathed in direct sun for a week, everything was ok, then we changed to 6 - they were like baked apples). They also offer massages on the beach - 10 bucks per hour (unsanitary conditions and dirty towels. ) We advise you to use the services at the hotel, there are many SPA programs. Attention! Manik. and faggot. They don’t know how to do it (they simply trim their toenails and hands, and then massage the limbs).
The flight is difficult - from Moscow by direct flight the flight is 12 hours, but this island is worth it. The island is clean, traffic is 40-60 km per hour. Feel free to drop the prices of everything by 2-3 times, the Balinese themselves like to bargain.
Holidays are mainly for newlyweds, couples in love, families with children, people tired of life, pensioners, surfers from Australia, many Chinese, Japanese, Germans and French come on promotional tours, many Russians (from Moscow and far, near abroad). 70 % of vacationers go to bed at 22:00. At 7 in the morning, there is a movement in the restaurant for breakfast like “whoever gets up first, that and slippers. ” During the day it is very hot, so many people prefer daytime sleep.
But if you are sociable, self-confident, attractive, you will always find a company for yourself. And remember, 90% of the rest depends on you. The holiday was a success, we will go again with pleasure.
Men, especially for you: take more money, dinner in a restaurant with a lady with a bottle of wine will cost you $80-100.
Attention, upon arrival in Bali, you can carry no more than 1 liter of alcohol on hand! When leaving, luggage must not exceed 20 kg. For each kilogram of overweight - $ 22, and I want to buy and take away a lot : -)

I want more or less objective reviews if possible. Is it really that bad as some sites describe? Are there bazaars with the hotel, buy summer clothes, some local colorful clothes? I read that every restaurant has a free taxi from the hotel and back, is it true? What excursions are interesting to go on? volcanoes? islands?
