It is not clear how a fixed fee can be called a donation, again, a donation is a voluntary matter, someone has money, and someone does not. What happened next was shocking and depressing. After standing in line for about an hour, I entered the room in the center of the Temple (the chapel in the cuvuklia), where notes are accepted, following the woman. Before us appeared a Greek in a cassock, who did not get tired of repeating "faster, faster"
The woman handed him two notes and asked: "Father, I don't have 10 dollars, can I donate shekels? How much do you need? " Pop immediately replied: "100 shekels" !!!!!!! ! This is despite the fact that 1 dollar = 3.5 shekels. The woman is shocked! This Orthodox pop bandit in a cassock without shame or conscience, a servant of "God". Only money is his God, as it turned out. It was confirmed right away. He discarded the woman's notes, as I noticed, there was a considerable pile of them.
I had two notes, one for health, the second for peace and 10 dollars, respectively, in small bills. I gave the notes. The Orthodox Greek pop bandit businessman COUNTED my donation - 10 dollars in small bills, only after that he accepted the notes and threw them into the general pile. To my remark that there is one - for health, the other - for the dead, it would be necessary to put it in different piles, he waved his hand and said that everything was fine !!! ! Yes, it's okay. Money in the cash register, and there - the grass does not grow. Then they stood in line to the Stone. The same Orthodox Greek priests behaved impudently and unceremoniously in the Temple. They yelled at each other, ran back and forth, etc.
I wanted to forget about the feelings of believers and stuff the Greeks in the face.
Now it is clear where the Russian Orthodox Church is borrowing its experience from.
And then I remembered a recent conversation with a friend from a provincial town. She said that she had a friend in Moscow, the last 2 years of 2011 and 2012 she worked in the church, helped. I looked at the processes from the inside and said, you need to leave, otherwise the faith inside will disappear....
