I would like to share my impressions of the Caesar Hotel. I stayed there in November 2008. Now the hotel has been completely renovated, but maybe my review will be useful to someone, because in addition to the condition of the rooms, the location and the view from the window are also important, and this, of course, cannot be changed with repairs.

We arrived in Eilat late in the evening and quickly settled in. In the morning, we took beach towels by the pool, and went to the beach of the Dan Eilat 5 * hotel - it is considered one of the best in Eilat's tourist zone. Caesar does not have its own beach, so you have to pay for sun loungers...By the way, most hotels of the same level do not have their own beach either. The exception is a few hotels on the 2nd and 3rd lines, whose guests are allowed to use sunbeds and umbrellas free of charge by cooler hotels from the same chain.

The road to Dan Eilat beach took no more than 15 minutes, while walking along the promenade is a pleasure - palm trees are everywhere, a lot of shops and souvenir shops.
On the beach they paid 15 shekels for two sunbeds, not for each (we were able to agree! ). At the same time, those who live in the Dan Panorama hotel go to the same Dan Eilat 5 * beach for free, since this is one hotel chain.

The Caesar Hotel is very close to the sea and the promenade, which is considered the center of Eilat. Several grocery stores and internet cafes are located near the hotel. Very nice to go out to the balcony. There is a beautiful view of the lagoon, in which there are boats and yachts. The room has a bed, a sofa with a table, an empty mini-bar, a kettle. The rooms are not euro, of course, old-fashioned look like "grandmother's" wooden wardrobe and table, but everything is clean and tidy. The bathrooms have been completely renovated. The hotel is small, there is a shop and a small SPA center. In the restaurant, before each entrance, they ask for the room number in English. The food is varied and tasty, buffet style. A lot of Russians work in the restaurant.
But at the reception they spoke to us either in English or in Spanish.

One day, after returning from the beach, my friend and I did not find our travel irons. They regretted that they left them in a conspicuous place when they unpacked their suitcases. At the reception we were told that it was the cleaning lady who took it away for fire safety purposes. After 2 days of hard fighting, I recaptured my iron. My friend was less fortunate - a month later she was sent another one to Russia, about the same price, because her iron was lost somewhere ...Moral: if you take an iron with you on a trip (hairdryer, tongs, etc. ) , remove them in the room out of sight!

I bought a day trip to Petra (Jordan) in this hotel. The tour started at 6 am. On the eve of departure, at the hotel reception, the staff assured me that at 5:55 it would be possible to approach them and take a lunch box with breakfast with them on the road, since I warned them in advance.

I go down at the right time, and at the reception they shake their heads and say that no one has passed anything to them, they don’t know anything and that breakfast is already served in the restaurant and you can go for breakfast. I don’t know, maybe, of course, they know how to have breakfast in 5 minutes, but at 6 am a tour bus arrived and so I was left without breakfast.

The hotel, it seemed to me, pulls on a solid 3 * +. This corresponds to the location on the 2nd line, and the condition of the rooms, and service. But the price is still commensurate with the price of a room standing "wall to wall" hotel Dan Panorama 4 * + (in the catalogs it is 5 *). Therefore, it is more profitable to book Dan Panorama. And the beach will be with free sunbeds and umbrellas, and the stardom is higher!
