I vacationed at Hilton Eilat in the summer of 2013. The hotel impresses with its expressive smooth architecture - a real oriental palace! The lobby of the Hilton hotel is huge, airy, beautiful. Snow-white columns, sculptures. . . For the first few minutes, all I did was look around admiringly.
I want to say right away that I am not a very pretentious tourist, and in a hotel, on vacation, I spend a minimum of time. Although the Hilton was built in the mid-90s, it gives the impression of a rather old hotel... Upon arrival, I noticed that one of the elevators was broken. And when I left, they never fixed it - they just closed it.
The room was provided to me on time, I chose a room with a sea view in advance. The view, of course, was beautiful. The only negative is the very small balconies. Or rather, balconies. The furniture in the room is old, especially the chairs, and in some places very worn out. The same applies to the bathroom, the taps are definitely already asking for replacement. The room is not at all like a luxury hotel…

For nutrition. Personally, I liked the food. The breakfast had a large selection of food, everything was deliciously cooked and beautifully presented. In this regard, only pluses. The food is kosher, of course.
The hotel does not have a full-fledged beach, it takes 7-8 minutes to walk to a good (in my opinion) beach, located in front of the Herods hotel. It is the last one on the coast of the tourist zone and there is a very clean beach, despite the large number of tourists. It didn't bother me, it was even more fun.
For me, the biggest plus of the hotel was the very good attitude of the hotel staff. Specifically, having learned that I arrived at the hotel for my birthday, they presented me with a bottle of champagne with congratulations from the staff. And if I asked to replace something in the room (for example, I spilled juice on the bedspread), then everything was changed quite quickly and politely.
In my opinion, the hotel certainly does not correspond to 5* deluxe. It doesn't even reach 5*. Maximum 4*. Also I can not recommend this hotel for families with children. For children, except that there is a children's section in the pool, and there is no more entertainment. But I did not observe frank minuses during my stay at the hotel. By the way, the hotel is especially beautiful in the evening, when numerous lights are turned on.
In general, after the rest in Eilat, there were very good impressions: the warm sea, wonderful restaurants on the coast, oriental sweets, live music and a very friendly attitude of the locals. And this cordiality, it seems to me, is a characteristic feature of all Israel.
