how I saved when traveling to Israel
Hi all! Recently I was in Israel, on the Dead Sea. Hotel Tzel-Arim. Pulls on three stars, However, it is such. But you do not overpay for 5 of which are not even mentioned. Houses for 2 owners stand along the waterfront. Quiet, no one disturbs anyone. Nearby there are such hefty types of Crown Plaza and Meredian. But many complain about the service and food. And the beach is not everywhere nearby. So we were lucky with the hotel. Back in Moscow, I found out that you can save on transfers and excursions if you take them directly in Israel. On the recommendation, I contacted one local company - TaxiGold - to be met, taken to the hotel and back, etc. Saved 250 bucks on this. without intermediaries. The weather did not disappoint here - it kept at 24-25 all the time, although I saw on TV that it was raining in Tel Aviv, but it is clear that they do not reach here because of the mountains. The sea is cool, 17-18, you can swim. Whoever was cold - sat in the SPA, there is a warm indoor pool with sea water. Of the excursions was in Jerusalem, of course. I took a group one of those that are offered in the hotel in the lobby - it turned out to be garbage - everywhere on the run, 50 people in the group, they "led" to the right shops, in short, it sucks. At the end of the trip, four of us gathered - from our group - took a car with the driver of the one that was taking us from the airport and drove again to Jerusalem. We walked calmly through Christian places, walked around the city, went to another suburb - there are Russian monasteries. Monks from Russia had a nice conversation. They say it is difficult to get there - the selection is still at home. But on holy ground. Another cool place is Masada. Such a rock in the desert and a fortress on top of it. The Romans destroyed it after 3 years of siege. Height - 500 meters, look down - eagles fly. There are still such healthy machines like ancient Rome - to break through the walls, made of wood, 4 meters high. They say 20 years ago the Americans shot a film about Masada and left them here. Friends also traveled to Bet Shaan. There are also Roman ruins of the whole city. Impressive. In short, it is still unmeasured to look here. And most importantly warmed up and rested from our permafrost. Advice to all - do not take a group one, you will be shod in full. The layout is simple - 90-100 bucks per person in a group of 50. And if you take a taxi for four (2 couples), the same 100 dollars per person. But you decide where to go and what to see. Good luck to all!
Vadim, Moscow.
