To be honest, I don't like camels. Well, I don't like it, that's all. Therefore, the camel ranch would be the last place I would visit in Eilat with children. If it weren’t for one BUT, the so-called Rope Park (in Hebrew, Havalim Park) was recently opened at the Eilat camel ranch. My children (11 and 14 years old), when they saw the flyer, began to whine and moan that they were urgent, well, they definitely needed to go there, otherwise everything, the rest was down the drain, the vacation did not take place... I resisted for a long time, but the children turned out to be stubborn... Bought tickets, let's go.

I must say that the summer schedule of the park is very logical - it is open until 23:00. Moreover, the bulk of visitors appear there just after 19:00 - in summer, in the daytime heat of + 40-45, no one has a great desire to go to the desert and climb ropes. Around the same time, around 7 pm, we arrived there. We signed up in advance, so the instructor was waiting for us.

I will say right away - my children are very fond of Moscow's "Panda-parks" - these are also such rope obstacle courses arranged between trees. They are in many Moscow parks, and we seem to have visited them all. So confident and cool people went to the rope park in Eilat, like “we all know, we can do everything, we’ll show everyone now! ” As they came and saw what was there and how, so the steepness disappeared... and quickly enough. The children were given complete climbing equipment (helmets, all sorts of belts, carbines, etc. ) and released for briefing. In my opinion - simply magnificent, detailed and very visual, not like in Moscow - for show. It can even be said that it was too visual... So, the instructor, making sure that the belts on my youngest child were fixed in accordance with all the rules, simply... threw him off the chair on which he was standing like a mannequin for briefing. And the child, having raised, swayed at a height - albeit small, but still. The moral of this fable was this - no matter what happens to you upstairs, even if unexpectedly, even if your hands can’t stand it, even if you break loose - nothing threatens you, you are safe! You hang firmly on two safety straps, and they will hold, no matter what happens! It was very revealing, and for parents it was also very reassuring, in the end.

The park is built on very high pillars, firmly driven into the ground. Under the pillars - camels (they live there), on the pillars - peacocks (before that I didn’t know that they could fly up to a height of 20 meters). The park has three levels of height and three levels of difficulty. From relatively easy to VERY difficult. My daughter swung at the most difficult level, but quickly realized that she had overestimated her strength. And, hopelessly falling off the insidious board that slipped from under her feet, she dangled in the air for 15-20 minutes at a decent height, at first trying to pull herself up and get out on her own (she is an athlete, and she generally has no problems with physical training) , and then resigned and dutifully waiting for the instructor... He pulled her out of there and sent her to another, easier route.

Children walked on ropes, and on swinging car tires, and on swaying and vibrating bridges, and even rode a bicycle along a rope at a height of 20 meters! One word that just wasn't. . .

As a result, adrenaline was thrown into the atmosphere like a sea - both in children and in the parents who watched them. And I don't know who has more : )

When the children finally descended from sky-high heights, it turned out that it was already almost 11 pm, and we spent 4 hours there - in one breath! Emotions, drive, overcoming oneself - everything was in abundance. Yes, and all the action took place against the backdrop of the night Eilat mountains, illuminated by searchlights, in the company of camels with camels and peacocks - exotic, in general.

The Rope Park is a place for those who are tired of standard beach activities and want to diversify their holiday in Eilat. Highly recommend!
