We stayed at Alexander Tel Aviv Hotel from 30.10-08.11. 2018. We have already stayed more than once in this hotel and we liked it: good location, proximity to the sea, good breakfasts and delicious pastries and, as it seemed before, friendly staff. And although this time the cleaning in the room was very bad, everything else seemed the same.
If you stay for a long time (we were 9 nights), then there will be only one cleaning when you check into the hotel. The rest of the "housekeeping" comes down to just changing towels, cosmetics and tea/coffee. Everything else: floors, tables and carpet - will always be dirty until a new guest hits!
But our opinion has changed dramatically after talking with Ms. Shiran from the reception! We have never met such indifference, neglect and simply open boorish behavior anywhere and ever. The person clearly does not value the image of the Hotel and he absolutely does not care about the customers! ! !

Essence of the question: we booked a room on the official website of the hotel at the Diamond Club Non Refundable Rate and upon check-in they said that everything was fully paid (although we were charged 7 USD more) and asked for a deposit of 300 USD - in cash, not by card.
Here we could not get them at the reception for a long time when we checked out. We were charged another 12 USD. This is a small amount and the matter could be resolved quickly if this Mrs. Shiran herself from the reception would show courtesy and goodwill and give clarifications. She completely ignored us, never looked in our direction, did not introduce herself, was constantly distracted by other customers, although they came up later than us, grabbed the telephone receiver (this was also not necessary, since there were enough employees) and simply, without no explanation, gave the command to hold and went about her business.
So, with a spoiled mood, of course, not because of the lost money, but because of the rudeness of the Shiran employee, we left the Alexander Tel Aviv Hotel, which we will definitely never return to and will not advise it to others!
