Rested with a friend for 2 weeks in April 2010 in the north of Goa at the Svelton Manor hotel.
It was an unexpected decision to go to Goa, it was the beginning of April, I wanted warmth, the sea and something new and unexpected... we stopped in Goa.
Having bought tickets, we intensively began to search for information on the Internet about such a place called Goa : )
A lot of interesting and intriguing things are written “Goa Syndrome”, “People come there, tear their passports there and stay forever”, etc... and we went to Goa with incomprehensible feelings...
We flew with tour operator Pegasus. Flying 7.5 hours seemed a bit long, but it's worth it...
Just getting off the plane, we felt impossible humidity, stuffiness and thought: “how can we live in such a climate for 2 weeks? ”... Pegasus met us and put our suitcases on the bus and we went to the hotel 

While driving to the hotel, we watched the picture, the dirt on the streets, everything is so poor and meager, although we knew where we were going - India....but we still expected a little something else... in the end we tuned in to the idea that we would not bother with comfort, but we would break away 2 weeks and see around as much as possible )))
Liked the hotel. Lovely two-room suites, clean, air-conditioning worked well. One negative is annoying ants in the kitchen… Breakfast: standard English breakfast: egg, tomato, coleslaw, toast, jam, butter, coffee, juice.
At the reception, not very pleasant staff, a little rude, often they were not even there. And I was also struck by the fact... we leave the hotel at 12.30 at night on the disk, and as we observe, the gates are already closed and there is no staff at the reception, so we looked for them for half an hour, found them and they, as if nothing had happened, did not pay we were paid attention and they said that at 12 at night they close the hotel and everything... it’s normal in general, they came to rest, it’s called, but we are under some kind of arrest... not wanting to open the gates, they threatened us that we would have problems, then I expressed everything that knew and didn’t know in English how cute they opened it and after this incident they didn’t even greet us)))
Apart from this incident, the hotel is good!
We went to the Tropicana coffee shop for a walk. Special thanks to the guys from Tropicana-Baba and Tony, they always smile, they cook very tasty-yum-yum... there were no stomach problems for 2 weeks)
At the expense of the sea, in Calangute the water is clean, the entry into the sea is smooth... We also went to the beaches of Arambol, Vagator, Candolim and Palolem paradise beach. I advise everyone to go there ; )
Party. We visited Hil-Tope, a healthy trance party; Mambo (Baga) - there are a lot of Russians, r'n'b music is very good; Titos (also Bug) no at all; Westende is also cool; if you want to feel a real party-you in Shiva Well…
And of course, you must visit the Night market. An indescribable atmosphere there, live performances, incredible instruments, a bunch of clothes, having a good bargain you can buy a thing for a penny; )

Excursions. We took an excursion from Pegasus for the whole day, 3 in 1, these are: elephant riding and swimming with them, a spice plantation and a waterfall. And we also went by taxi to Palolem beach on our own, for the whole day with an overnight stay... it's just heaven - white sand, palm trees above the sky and a bunch of palm trees, a paradise beach... )))
The Goans themselves really liked it, everyone knows English since childhood, everyone smiles, greets... very peaceful people)))
At the expense of dirt... it depends on who goes there for what....and who needs what from rest...
Personally, from the second day, we generally joined this life... bought Alibaba panties... rode bikes at night, went to trance parties, swam in the sea, sunbathed, admired the sunsets and generally did not pay attention to the garbage around... just Relax...
If you are going there, you must understand where you are going… it is EXOTIC in any of its manifestations… not quite clean around, but it doesn’t matter when you are immersed in all this, and life there flows measuredly, calmly… people are always late there… there is no hypocrisy , negative... only PASITIVE and complete relaxation to the music of trance!
2 weeks passed unnoticed and we were back in Moscow, and only then did we understand what the Goa syndrome was... we merged into ordinary life for at least a month... everything seemed so simple, where there are no problems and grief, that everyone is happy and just glad that they live! Goa is another world, unusual and alluring!
