Sunny India!
Good day to all! We went on New Year's holidays to bask in the sun in India, North Goa. Have been since 02.01. to 01/12/2016 This was already the 4th time of our stay there, and oddly enough, this figure is small in everything, because there are those who can boast of a larger figure. As a rule, the reason for such a large number of trips is a good climate, a very warm sea (for example, we had +26-28), open and friendly locals, a lot of fruits, various delicious food (you just need to find your favorite places) and all this very nice price. Although, of course, everything is simpler if, for example, compared with the same Thailand.
I would like to say about very open and friendly people. Perhaps it is precisely this, and their approach to life, their morality, the psychology of life that creates the atmosphere where you can simply turn off your brain and relax. By the way, when you are already imbued with this atmosphere, you even stop paying attention to some kind of garbage, red earth, their level and way of life (after all, you understand that people here live really very poorly), you just relax and start enjoying life, as in other things do almost all the locals. Even our compatriots, having stayed there for a long time and imbued with this atmosphere, become very open, responsive and sociable, which sometimes even pleasantly surprises.
What to see in India, and more specifically, in North Goa. You can go to the jungle, to a spice plantation, or to a waterfall, in principle, as a rule, this is 1 excursion. It is better to gather a company, take a taxi (a Toyota jeep or something similar for convenience), be sure to bargain with the driver and go on such an excursion - you will like it. But, if you have been on such excursions, for example, somewhere in Thailand, then you should not spend money again. You won't get anything new. However, it's up to you! The best thing to do in Goa is to go around all the beaches, especially if it's your first time there, and choose your favorite. There are some very similar, but it is worth to go and ride. If you are not afraid to ride bikes, then no problem at all, a lot of people rent them and ride them every day. If you are afraid, you can take a taxi, but it will not be exactly a budget trip. Well, if you are active and want to save money, then there are buses, with which you can get almost anywhere, to any beach, or to a supermarket. You just ask the locals or Russians who have already been there, they will definitely tell you.
In general, you shouldn't bother there, you shouldn't think a lot, weigh some decision, you shouldn't take a lot of things, especially new, beautiful ones. The simpler the better. India is a country that does not tolerate fuss, haste, nervousness and lack of time, and which is ready to give all tourists a continuous positive and real relaxation.
