A business trip brought me to Reykjavik. Only 3 days, of which only half of Saturday we got to see the city. Although, given its size, this was enough. Everything is easily accessible on foot. Thanks to the weather, it was sunny. Which is rare in Iceland. The city is surprisingly sparsely populated, such an unusual feeling. Either everyone moves by car, or they sit in offices and apartments. Everything is close, the distances are small. Cozy, neat. In a couple of hours, it turned out that we almost walked around at a leisurely pace. We even climbed to the top of the church, a stunning panorama of the town with colored roofs.

The hotel itself is beyond praise. Small, like everything else here, fresh and stylish. The local style is black and white. I even took a photo of the room. The downside is that when they came up with the design of the shower, they didn’t foresee that water could pour out - I had to roll up the towel with a roller and put it on. The tap water is thermal! Very soft, the skin is just perfect after it. It gives out its slight smell of hydrogen sulfide - such a disgusting one. With the Internet in the hotel, everything is in order, there is free Wi-Fi in the room.

The only thing I didn't like was that on Friday evening in the bar on the first floor, there was such a hubbub! At first we thought that the conference had stopped, but it turned out that they were locals, they just fell in love with this particular bar, they hang out in the evenings. In general, in the late afternoon there are clearly more people here than during the day. During the day you walk around an almost empty city, people crawl out to hang out at night.

All in all, a fun country. Too bad we couldn't change our return ticket to stay and see the geysers, waterfalls and glaciers. Well, maybe next time. I would like to hope that I will still have it.
