We had a Vietnam-Laos-Cambodia tour, at the end - a vacation in Cambodia, in Sihanoukville, at the Sokha Beach Resort /
After all the excursions, I really wanted to go to the sea. Finally we got to Sihanoukville. We liked Sokha Beach Hotel. HUGE territory, the sea is a MIRACLE, the beach is WONDERFUL. The weather let us down a bit, but for two days we still went swimming and sunbathing. The hotel has luxury rooms (maybe spelled wrong), which are located in houses standing on stilts in the water. We went there and we didn't like it at all. At that moment no one lived there, because the hotel was not full, but the overall impression is depressing. Some kind of semi-bog, semi-lake. The smell of rot. But in some rooms there are jacuzzis on the terrace.
The hotel has two restaurants. We liked Lemongrass better. They cook very tasty food. We also went to Lotus, but it is more expensive there. We ate once in the city at Snake House. Average, besides to go far. The bill there plus the money for the tuk tuk and the result is almost the same as we paid at Lemongrasse.

The hotel staff is very friendly, although their English is very peculiar. My husband understood, but I almost did not. They speak very fast and distort words. It is very good that the hotel has a manager Yulia, a Russian girl who told us everything and helped us in everything. Thank her very much!
Of course, a hotel in Cambodia is not a hotel in Turkey, where life is in full swing all day long.
But if you want to relax, take a break from the hustle and bustle of people, we highly recommend Sokha.
