The hotel PALM GARDEN VILLAGE 3 *, Anuradhapura, as a rule, is not in the lists offered on the sites. The point is probably that Anuradhapura is somewhat away from the usual tourist routes. There are relatively few tourists there. But of the entire route Colombo - Dambulla - Polonaruwa - Sigiriya - Anuradhapura - Kandy - Hikkaduwa - Galle - Wadduwa - Colombo, we liked Anuradhapura the most. Feelings are like walking through the pages of Kipling's works. The absolute absence of asphalt in the city. Monkeys and other wild animals crossing the road in front of the car do not pay much attention to it. The temples in the jungle outside the window are completely overgrown with vines ...At least a full day is needed for sightseeing. Do not forget to take socks, thicker ones are better, in order to burn your feet less when visiting temples.
The hotel as a whole made an excellent impression. Not only are there no Russians - there is no one at all! But there is a pool.
In which we swam after 22-00 (the closing time of the pools in the hotels of Sri Lanka). Water brings rest and at least some coolness. Huge number. The bathroom is larger than the rooms in many hotels. 10 towels. A bunch of pills along with a fumigator on the table (and you don't have to change each of them for a dollar at the receptionist). Free internet at the reception. We talked to the kids on Skype. But the local employees looked at us so surprised at the same time that I can say for sure: most of them did not see any whites, no laptops, no skype. However, we got special pleasure at dawn in the morning when we went to the lake located nearby to see how the elephants go to the watering hole. The elephants really didn't work out. But from the walk itself to the observation tower from which you can watch this spectacle, we got a lot of pleasure! The food spoiled the whole idyll a little.

It was good, but it was brought, as in a restaurant, to order by a waiter from a rather small list of dishes. And like it was not enough, but I did not get a full feeling of satiety. True, with the abundance and cheapness of fruits on the roads of the country, I almost immediately slowed down the driver at the point of sale of these and immediately refueled.

In general, I liked the hotel on a solid "5" on a 5-beam. I will stay there again with great pleasure.

For Russians - a nightmare hotel! Nobody speaks Russian. No animation. There is no buffet because there are no people. Do not pour on the ball at every step. They don't drink at all!
