The general impression is positive. We went for 12 days, three of which were excursions around the country and then nine days of beach rest. I warn you right away that it is better to do as we do - buy a tour in which the first two or three days of excursions and then rest on the coast. It's more profitable and convenient. The main attractions are Sigiriya, Dambulla, Kakndi. There is an elephant nursery - as for me, a clean scam. Entrance ticket 20 bucks for which you can watch the elephants bathe in the river and that's it. You won’t be able to ride or touch it. Well, I mean, it won’t work out for free. Elephant riding 20 bucks per person for 20 minutes is very expensive for me....But we bargained together on one elephant for 25 bucks. There are very long and difficult journeys from the hotel to the places of excursions. There are no traffic lights in the country and there is no such place where people would not live above the road. That is, where there is a road, people live and scurry around there. The road in the countryside is narrow - two cars can hardly pass each other. the average speed is 30 km / h, so keep in mind... Well, driving like gas / brake....With everyone and everywhere you bargain at least twice the price you need to bring down. Well, think for yourself how you can pay 40 bucks for a massage with a monthly salary of 200 bucks. This is absurd. In Simferopol, the most expensive back massage costs 100 hryvnias, but here it hurts twice as much. I thought everything is cheap here....Nifiga, as they see a tourist, they inflate prices several times. I am sure that they have one price for theirs and another for us. I didn't really like Ayurveda. . . For 75 bucks, we were massaged and rubbed with oils for two hours.... For four hours, 75 USD. . . So we knocked out a discount. . . At first we wanted 100 bucks. For that kind of money at home, you can get a much better service. Although on the other hand, once in a lifetime you can try : ) we did just that; ) lobsters are inexpensive here... somewhere around 40 bucks per kg with cooking in an eatery....
About the hotel. . . The hotel is not bad. First, they put us in a room that stank of dampness and fungus (we arrived at night, so there was no strength to sort things out. In the morning, we changed the room without any problems). The area is clean and the food is good. The beach is very good! The ocean is warm, although there are some incomprehensible currents here, so it’s better not to swim far. With us, a couple of people were swept into the ocean, we had to call rescuers on scooters. We were satisfied with the trip. We won’t go a second time, but it’s not Dalem that we got here... very interesting and informative... Once again I realized that our homeland is not so bad. Here's another thing... Remember that in all the stores where the guide brings you, the prices are two to three times more expensive.
