From 03/03/12 to 03/11/12 we rested at the CLUB BENTOTA 4 * hotel
We got there perfectly, a direct flight from Kyiv, 8 hours and we are in Colombo. Upon arrival, you need to fill out a migration card and pay $25 per person. At the airport, you can buy a local sim card (cost-effective connection).
Arrived at Club Bentota around 8:00 am, rooms were provided without any waiting for the set check in time. Having thrown things into the room, we went for breakfast, after which we ran to the beach  Delight knew no bounds, endless sandy beach, warm ocean and great weather!!!
Club Bentota is a wonderful hotel!! ! nothing fancy, very compact and comfortable. The rooms are not big, one might say small, but only to spend the night there. So we didn't mess around with it. The main bed is always clean, cleaned well, figures from towels and flowers on the bed were every day!! ! Great service! And very friendly staff.

The territory of the hotel is unusually beautiful. River on one side, ocean on the other. At the edge of the strip, where the river flows into the ocean, a rocky hill overgrown with greenery. There is a Buddhist temple there, which many write about. The hotel is the last one on this sandy strip.
Umbrellas are not needed on the beach and around the pool, there are palm trees all around. There are always enough sun loungers for everyone, the paths between the bungalows and other buildings are covered with canopies from the rain. Chipmunks, monitor lizards, iguanas live on the territory.
Excellent food in the restaurant, for all tastes, something rarely repeated. You can say the cuisine is European. Even in a special corner "Ayurveda" (local cuisine), though spicy, but delicious. The restaurant lobsters and shrimp "for the money. " Delicious pastries and sweets made from fruits: bananas, pineapples, passion fruit, papaya, watermelons. From alcohol: red rum, arak, brandy, gin, beer. Wine is paid - $ 3 per glass.
The hotel is not for those who like endless entertainment. During the day, music plays near the bar. Live music plays in the evening. There are performances about once every 2 days. During the day they do aerobics in the pool. In the evening, vacationers: play billiards, table and tennis, swim in the pool (you can swim even after 21:00), drink beer, rum and cocktails. The week flew by unnoticed. It was fun and never got bored!
