I really liked the hotel, it draws on 5 * (of course, not "Turkish"). In Bentota, and indeed on the island (as the locals told us), the hotel is one of the best. Although not the "Turkish" five, but the location of the hotel, the beauty of its territory and the whole island in general, and even with its smiling locals, fully compensate for everything. Every evening there was live music in the lobby bar. Sauna, gym, jacuzzi - free of charge. There are a lot of cool chipmunks and all living creatures on the territory of the hotel. The ocean is the BOMB!!!!! ! He needs to be seen and heard! Plus, a variety of fruits, seafood, friendly and attentive hotel staff, a pleasant, calm atmosphere, impressive excursions (I recommend Sigiriya, Kandy).
Standard rooms, although not large, are cozy, with ocean or garden views. We lived on the third floor, there was no smell of dampness. Cleaning, service - 5 points.
It is also worth paying attention to the level of security in the hotel: there are many surveillance cameras both in the hotel itself and on its territory. In general, the hotel is well guarded.

Meals: a standard European breakfast, there were many different fruits, 6-7 types of natural juices....We are satisfied with everything, everything was enough! We had dinner in restaurants on the ocean, but most often in SUSANTHA'S (7 minutes walk from Taj) - the lowest prices and good cuisine. Dinner averaged $10-15 for two. There we met a very cheerful, kind and helpful guy named Nuan. He works as a guide, conducts excursions around the island, speaks Russian well, likes to communicate with tourists, he has his own tuk-tuk. With him, we went to the town for shopping more than once (about 10 minutes by tuk-tuk), to the turtle farm, to the spice garden. He helped us choose a Sri Lankan mask, tea, coconut oil and much, much more. The guy is reliable, you can trust.
I would also like to say about the host of International Exotic Holidays. Representatives of this company came to the hotel 2 times a week, were constantly in touch, answered any questions, helped in everything. Guys - well done!!!!!
In general, we really liked both the hotel and the island, we left a lot of pleasant and unforgettable impressions.
I recommend this hotel for anyone who loves a quiet, safe holiday with a beautiful view of the ocean and coconut trees. We will definitely fly to Sri Lanka again!
