Holidays in Sri Lanka are quite calm and do not differ in special delights. The country is very poor, the war has recently ended. The hotel is good, but a bit old, although by their standards it is a luxury. There are excursions, but there are not many of them and you need to go far enough. The hotel itself is quiet, the rooms are good, the staff too. Timely cleaning, good cuisine, though there is practically no entertainment. Outside the hotel there is nowhere to go nearby. The most amazing thing that made me fall in love with this country is the coast. It is simply magnificent, regardless of whether it is an abandoned area or a resort. A very, very beautiful ocean, huge boulders near the water, bizarre palm trees and amazing sunsets (I think all this beauty is visible in the photo). People who love an active nightlife, parties and entertainment are unlikely to like it here, but I would not call such a boring vacation either. Oh yes, I almost forgot about one funny moment - there are a lot of chipmunks in the hotel - they run along the fence, along the lawns and it seems they are not at all shy of curious tourists)
