Great hotel, except maybe a bit noisy AC, colonial style furniture!
The audience is mainly from Europe, a few Russians and Ukrainians, so there is nothing to do there for the “rednecks” who are used to overeating and drinking themselves into unconsciousness. In addition, cigarettes and alcohol are sold there only in specialized shops, which are very few. Two types of cigarettes - Dunhill for 5 bucks a bottle and some other local cigarettes, too, about 4-5 bucks, there are no others there, so if you smoke, bring your own. Alcoholic: their local Arac 38* coconut vodka tastes like fermented coconut juice - you can drink local beer in 0.65 ml bottles of Lion - very normal.
But there are a lot of exotic fruits there and I won’t list them. Well, for example, 4-5 coconuts for 1 dollar, pineapple for 4 dollars apiece. Masa fruits are on the buffet, so they only bought coconuts to drink in the market, and in the hotel they ask for 2 dollars for 1 piece.

The currency is approximately 100-130 Sri Lankan rupees for 1 dollar. It is better to change at the airport where the exchange rate is much higher than at the hotel.
Excellent food (buffet), themed dinners in the styles of various countries of the world (Italy, France, USA).
Nature in Ceylon is cool! We were at the end of July and it is considered that this is not the season, but during the whole week of our stay it never rained on the coast, the ocean is noisy and there are waves, but it is a pleasure to swim in it! The temperature there all year round is 28-30 degrees. Flew from Kyiv the temperature was under 40, and there are pleasant 29-30. But there is very humid air, although there was no acclimatization.
Stories about insects, snakes and other evil spirits are not true. For the entire stay, I did not see a single mosquito, there are no snakes in the hotel, and if they crawl, then the staff probably kicks them out in the morning and most of their snakes are not poisonous, but I got this from the Internet.
Were for the first time and therefore took such a short tour, now we regret it. You need to go there for 2 weeks safely.
If you are with the Exotic Holiday Travel Company, then you will be met by an excellent Russian-speaking guide named Manju. He will also offer excursions at a discount - agree by all means. The tours are very interesting and informative. The guide is a very funny guy, he studied in Moscow during the USSR and understands Slavic humor. We went with him on a 20-hour excursion, so he poisoned various stories and jokes all the way)) The transport is comfortable, but the general traffic in Ceylon is TOUGH), they drive as they want, instead of turning, they signal to each other. If our traffic cops worked there, they would become millionaires in a week)).
In general, Sri Lanka fully justifies its name - the Blessed Land! In general, they live poorly, but since they profess mainly Buddhism, the people are very friendly and hospitable.

Some may disagree, but that's their business. There are people who only need to criticize and cheat everything) and even if everything is at the highest level, such complainers will find something to complain about.
