We went to rest at the end of April with my mother. After reading reviews about the hotel, I was upset at first - that is, there is nothing, then the rooms are bad, then the ocean is dirty, then something else. Yes, of course, if you are used to relaxing in Turkey or Egypt, where there is a lot of entertainment and there is no time to sit still and even really no time to sleep, then this vacation is not for you.
The hotel is clean and comfortable, the rooms are good, bright - yes, not refurbished, but the furniture is clean and neat, all made of natural wood. The food is varied - took breakfast and dinner - more than enough. You can not take dinner at all on the shore; there is an excellent cafe where you can eat tasty and not expensive.
If you are going to relax in Sri Lanka, you should understand first of all that this is a calm wild vacation - lie on a sun lounger, read a book, take a walk along the coast. And the second is the specifics of the local cuisine - yes, everything is spicy but in moderation and mostly seafood. Because then you read the reviews - there is nothing to eat - if you do not eat shrimp, lobsters, fish, etc. then go to rest somewhere else. I really liked it and will definitely go here again.

P. S. Now a little about the bad but not about the hotel. The hotel guide from the company Joinup is just awful! I haven't seen any of them yet and this is the face of the company. To take a tour, you need to look for it for half a day and also persuade her to sell it to you - nonsense! And in general, I think she is not interested in anything besides how to swell for free! I have never met such hotel guides, even Cariatur is resting with his Turks!
