Tour of Sri Lanka (January 2015)
We went to Sri Lanka as a family (2 adults, 2 children) for 12 days: 2 days, count, on the road; 2 days excursion; 8 days - on the ocean. A few words about the road: the flight is quite difficult if you have no experience of long flights. flydubai airlines do not feed! keep in mind!
About excursions: this is perhaps the most interesting part)) we ordered a local guide, contacting him from Kyiv. As a result, we got a two-day individual tour. We really liked the guide: it was nice that he not only gave us a tour, but also tried to present the country from the best side, and also not to miss something interesting for the tourist (that is, for us). For example, we drove for two days with him and the driver, and every time they stopped along the way, bought fruits or coconuts and treated us. And when they brought us to a hotel on the ocean coast, we stopped in a certain village by the road and bought some buffalo milk to try. I mean, he himself, at his own discretion, tried to capture all the most interesting things during these two days and not miss any interesting, new, unusual local trifles for us, for which many thanks to him !!
We liked the Ramboda Falls hotel where we spent the night, in particular the location of the hotel itself. The hotel is located near a waterfall and among the mountains, so the view there is just awesome. Food is a buffet. They didn't leave hungry.
Rest on the ocean was in the resort town of Dickwella (Dickwella Resort and Spa). In a nutshell - I liked everything, there were no complaints . . ! =)
