Adventures in Induruwa
I really like to travel, especially to Asian countries: either the peculiarities of their climate, or their special cordiality and goodwill when meeting with us, tourists, beckon to visit exactly that part of our ball. Besides, I really wanted to see the ocean. To fulfill my dream this summer, I went to Induruwa, Sri Lanka. The road turned out to be very difficult: first by train to Kyiv, then by two planes and a transfer to the hotel. We arrived at the hotel early in the morning, so the weather seemed overcast and inhospitable. First of all, we went to say hello to the ocean. This, of course, is power, an unbridled element, from which I almost suffered. Standing waist-deep in the water, you don’t even notice how he slowly drags you down to the depths with an ebb tide. Although I am a good swimmer, but, feeling the impossibility of resisting this power on my own, I asked for help.
Thanks to new acquaintances who extended helping hands along the chain and pulled me out of the arms of this monster. On the same day, on the ocean shore, stray dogs stole one flip flops from me. And I thought, why do you meet so many paired shoes along the shore? But my losses didn't end there. Before the trip, I read a lot of tourist reviews on the Turpravda website about the insidious behavior of monkeys, but I didn’t think that they were so insidious. During an excursion to the jungle, one of the monkeys tore off my hat from my head and was like that. In all places of meeting with them, very arrogant specimens came across, from which they had to close the open entrance to the car with their backs, they tried to look out over their shoulders what could be stolen from the car.
These were the biggest losses in the journey, and the rest in Sri Lanka itself is the second paradise on Earth.
And a trip along the Bentota River, and visiting temples and the Royal Botanical Garden, and nature, and an abundance of fruits and seafood, and the hospitality of the local population - for this it is worth visiting this paradise. And don’t let the rainy season scare you, it mostly rains there at night, during the day it can take 15 minutes and then the sun, as it never happened.
