Rested 18 days in Unawatuna, Sri Lanka, with my daughter (17 years old) in December 2018. And so, having finally chosen the direction of our future vacation, namely the island of Sri Lanka, the first question was the choice of housing and we settled on the option that turned up quite by accident and unexpectedly. The Jungle villa hotel in Unawatuna was just the offer that met many criteria: location, cost, conditions. And now about everything in more detail.

This villa is located 10-15 minutes walk from the beach, in silence, far from the noise and crowds of people, surrounded by the jungle and neighboring houses. At first, a fairly large distance, taking into account the ascent and descents (mountainous terrain), scared me, but we immediately realized how pleasant it was to walk through the jungle and walked with pleasure, watching peacocks, chipmunks, monkeys and local color.

In case we didn’t want to walk, the hostess Anya provided us with a free tuk-tuk to the beach and back, which was a huge plus.

As for the rooms, at the time of our stay, only two were rented there, two more were being completed on the second floor. There is a fan in the room, which kept the heat out all the time. The repair is brand new, all plumbing is new, everything is in excellent condition, clean and nothing more. Laundry on request, bed linen changed every week. A very significant advantage was a large kitchen, where you can find everything you need, so sometimes dinners were prepared by ourselves and there were no problems with this (in Sri Lanka, such opportunities are quite rare). More importantly, the availability of fast Internet, which is generally difficult to find anywhere. In other places where I had to visit during the rest, it was often very slow or simply absent.

Breakfasts were included in the price and they need to be given special attention. Every day they were amazed by the beauty, variety, presentation and taste more and more, Anya clearly has talent. She did everything according to our taste, we never left hungry, the portions are huge and very satisfying. I'm sure she will soon open her own restaurant there, where there will always be a lot of visitors.

You can also ask Anya or a local Sri Lankan hostess to cook lunches and dinners for a fee, it turns out much more convenient, tastier and cheaper than eating in a cafe on the beach. And the son of the Sri Lankan hostess Dinidou, a very pleasant and helpful guy, will tell you where to buy groceries cheaper and take you on his tut-tuk for shopping.

In addition, we thank Anya for her help when our daughter got a little sick, for her attention to all our issues during the rest period, for the safety of our belongings, and in general, Anya has shown herself to be a strong, purposeful woman who can make your vacation enjoyable and safe. We were very pleased with our choice. What you get is clearly worth the money spent. We are pleased to recommend the Jungle villa hotel in Unawatuna to all those who are planning to spend their holidays there. If you have any questions for me, write, I will give Anna's contacts. Dmitry.
