we visited this wonderful country Sri Lanka in February 2012. Air Arabia flew to Colombo with a connection in Sharjah. the airline is budgetary, you can book seats in advance (for a fee), you can also pay for food in advance, or you can buy it a little more expensive on the spot, in general, the flight went perfectly, we didn’t feel any discomfort from the docking, since the docking there was about forty minutes, almost running))), and back 1.5 hours, and managed to visit duty free))) We flew to Colombo early in the morning, ordered a car from Moscow in advance, it was brought to us immediately to the airport. They met us on arrival, took us to the car rental office, explained what and how, gave us a map of Sri Lanka, we paid for the car rental and we went, we can say))) wherever they look)))) For those who also want to go, you need to get in your country, international rights and in Sri Lanka in renting a car, order a temporary Sri Lankan certificate for permission to drive a car, I don’t remember exactly 10 or 15 dollars, this is necessary so that there are no problems with the police, since from time to time the car is stopped and check documents. in two weeks we were stopped three times, twice just for checking documents and once because we broke the rules))) We managed to see the following places Kandy, Galle, Tangalle, Hambatot, Baddula, Nuwara Eliya, Polonarruwa, Matale, Wadduwa, Mattara, Ahangama, Unawatuna, Ambalangtota, Trikomale, Ratnapura, Balapitiya, Pollonaruwa, Ella, maybe I forgot something else, but we drove and saw a lot of places, I honestly don’t remember all the names))) About national parks from there are a lot in Sri Lanka, the most famous Yala park, but we decided that we would not go, there are usually a lot of people there, and our goal was to see everything just elephants in the wild, and they are in other parks, we decided to go to another park , similar, only there are no people there, Bundala National Park))) we were alone in this park and ordered a Jeep safari, because we thought that it’s better not to risk it on a rented car, after all, there are a lot of animals and who knows))) two hours managed to see elephants, several species of monitor lizards, bambi (spotted deer), a lot of different birds, a land turtle and aquatic turtles, two types of snakes, crocodiles, a wild boar, and you can’t remember anyone else))) in general, the tour of the park was a success, we were very pleased liked))) to be continued
