Now let's talk about hotels. Here are a few hotels where I have stayed and which I can safely recommend. I must say right away that all these hotels are not in party places, but next to them. I do not like the hotel to be noisy, a lot of people in the pool, etc. Prices for the hotels I have described range from $40 to $85 per room with breakfast.
1 HOTEL!! ! Leijey Resort yvonnepetit@yahoo. de This hotel is located in a village near Galle. I want to warn you right away, if you look for it yourself, then it’s not a fact that you will succeed, so if you decide to stay in it, it’s better to contact the hotel director in advance and ask to be met. Although we were by car, we managed to find it only with the help of 3G navigation and only because the navigator showed two pools in the village, one is a public pool and the second is a hotel pool)))) When we entered the territory, then the owners of the hotel were very surprised how we found them))) because I can safely say that this is a closed-type hotel, there are few reviews about it and Russians (well, that is, we) were in this hotel for the first time)))) I must say right away that the hotel it’s far from the sea, you definitely can’t get there on foot, 15-20 minutes by tuk-tuk, but we were by car and it didn’t bother us at all. The hotel is a one-story building with different rooms, I don’t remember their exact number, but no more than 9, as it seemed to me, each room has a separate entrance, at the entrance there are tables for breakfast and pastime, and there is a rest room (books, board games, etc. ), several simulators. The rooms are one, two and three rooms with air conditioning, on request with a TV. Any person of any age can stay here, including those with a small or infant child. The hotel is more suitable for lovers of a calm and measured life on the territory of the hotel. Well, the whole party is 20 = ty minutes away, you can get there with a driver on the hotel’s tuk-tuk, or transport can be ordered from Galle))) About the pool: it’s excellent, there are several sunbeds by the pool, but if desired, their number can be enlarged, there is also a gazebo by the pool where you can hide from the sun. On the territory, in addition to a one-story building - a hotel, there is a yellow house, it has a kitchen on the 1st floor, the remaining floors are occupied by the hotel management, where they live. About the territory: during our stay at the hotel we walked barefoot, so you can immediately guess how they clean and monitor the territory, there are many different trees on the territory, birds fly, you can meet lizards on the trees, small fluffy animals also run around the territory, I don’t know how they are are called)))) About food: they cook deliciously, during the four days of our stay they prepared different dinners for us and they were always very tasty, the breakfast is standard, there is no alcohol on the territory, but if you wish, you can bring it with you from duty free or buy it in Galle stores . The director of this hotel, Yvonne Petitt, is a very pleasant woman who tries to please customers in everything. All the hotel staff are very kind and good people, especially the administrator, they will tell you everything, tell you everything.
2 HOTEL!! ! Lagoon Paradise Beach Resort info@lagoonparadisebeachresort. com This hotel is located in a place called Tangalle. I don’t know if they sell tours there and you can find reviews about it, since at the beginning of 2012 there was construction on the hotel’s territory, but this did not interfere with our vacation in any way. The hotel is a large two-story building and one-story wooden bungalow villas, one of them stands right on the beach and, if desired, you can also check in there (this is for those who love extreme sports and the sound of waves))) We lived in a building on the second floor in deluxe room. The room is huge with a large bed, shower, toilet, TV, refrigerator, wardrobe, bedside tables, a huge balcony with wooden furniture))) About the pool: the pool is huge, the pool also has a bathtub with a Jacuzzi, sunbeds and a shower by the pool. About the territory: the territory is huge, birds, monitor lizards, various lizards walk around the territory, there are many trees. The hotel has its own large sandy beach, the sand is clean, the territory is constantly cleaned, there are sunbeds and a mini-bar on the beach, as well as sun umbrellas. We swam in the sea a couple of times in total, as there are always waves, which is typical of Sri Lanka, the entry into the sea is good. There is also a lagoon on the territory of the hotel, this is a local attraction, unfortunately I don’t remember the name of the lagoon. This lagoon is famous for its birds. The hotel provides free canoes, and anyone can take and ride, as well as watch the birds. We even managed to see a huge waterfowl. Regarding the party: there is nothing special on the territory, I know that there is a disco in neighboring hotels, but we never went there, so I can’t tell you what and how. And about food: there is a restaurant on the territory of the hotel, it is also a dining room))) Breakfasts are standard, as in all hotels. We ordered dinners, once we didn’t like it very much, we didn’t cook the rice))) I can’t really say anything about the hotel staff, because apart from the administrator and the bartender we didn’t communicate with anyone else)))
3 HOTEL!! ! Ocean Dreams Hotel oceandreamshotel@yahoo. com. au This hotel is located at Ahangama, Matara Road. The hotel is a three-story building in which the reception, rooms, dining room, TV room, kitchen, etc. are located. We lived on the first floor in the very last room at the back of the building. In the morning you wake up and go straight into the garden, and there are lizards, birds, sometimes even rabbits come across))) beauty))) Room with a large bed, table, chairs, refrigerator, wardrobe, clothes dryer, toilet, shower. On the very first day, we met the owner of the hotel named Kumara, a very good person, later he told us where to go, what to see, etc. told us a lot of things about Sri Lanka, for which special thanks to him. The hotel staff is just super, special thanks to Gishanti, who served us throughout our stay at the hotel. About the territory: there are trees, birds, lizards, rabbits on the territory, in the so-called garden there are tables with chairs. About the pool: the pool is good, part of it is fenced for children, the so-called paddling pool, so both adults and children can safely swim. There are sun loungers by the pool, if desired, their number increases, as well as umbrellas from the sun and a shower. At the entrance to the building there is a small fountain with fish and turtles. At the reception there are tables, chairs, sofas and other furniture. On the second floor there is a TV room. Dining room-restaurant, kitchen. The hotel staff is very accommodating. About the food: very tasty, I don’t even know what to say, I can only say about the cleanliness and that the forks, spoons, plates were mirrored, the staff is very careful about the cleanliness in the kitchen. We also made friends with the cooks, the guys even wanted to cook Russian food for us, but we refused so as not to strain them once again. Once we bought different seafood at the market, came to the kitchen and asked to cook it, did everything super, you will lick your fingers, and the most interesting thing is that they didn’t take a penny from us for this, it seems like a trifle, but very nice. As the saying goes, if you treat people well, they will treat you well too. The ocean is across the road from the hotel, but you can’t swim there, and a good place for swimming is a 5-minute walk along the road, since I repeat that there are constantly waves in the ocean, this didn’t bother us a bit.
