All about holidays in Sri Lanka!

We chose a tour for a long time where to fly and decided to go to Sri Lanka, we found a direct flight without refueling (ask the tour operator to let them look, as many say that there are no such vouchers). We flew with Sri Lankan Airlines, initially the whole service impresses, we had a landing through the VIP pass, no queues for you, everything is fast and cultural. When you enter the plane, you already plunge into a different atmosphere, all the flight attendants are cute and dressed in saris, they don’t understand everything in Russian, but they try very hard and ask to show if they don’t understand something or call an interpreter, at least one of the staff knows well Russian language. Alcohol is poured on the plane !!! , which is very strange, with it in any quantity and as many times as you want, and the strangest thing for Russians is that good alcohol is not a leftist, and, for example, the whiskey was Red Label. The plane, of course, is not new, but the control is impressive, especially landing, the plane lands very quickly, it just starts to descend sharply, and does not circle, and as a result, the landing is quick and imperceptible. Upon arrival, it is very good if you make a visa at home, otherwise you will stand for a very long time. It is very pleasant that the Camelot hotel is located near the airport, because after the flight on their roads, we will talk about them later. We arrived at the hotel, the staff met us on the porch, seated us on the sofa, gave freshly squeezed juice, the loader immediately took the luggage and took it to the room, we asked for a good room with a sea view, they gave us one without any problems and reminded that they had breakfast is on now so we don't forget to eat. The hotel service just amazed me, it is really 24 hours a day, if you sleep in the morning, then the room will be cleaned after dinner, despite the fact that all rooms are mostly cleaned in the morning. Every day, without a reminder, towels and all bedding are changed, not only garbage is removed, but also your things are put away, if you left things on a chair, then everything will be neatly folded, cosmetics will be poured out, everything will be put in order. They didn’t steal anything from us, we put a lot of money in a safe, a trifle was lying around, they didn’t take it, they take it, if they specifically put it on the bed, they even left the phones to charge, they didn’t touch anything. So there are no complaints about the hotel at all, by the way, there are enough sunbeds for everyone, it is transferred to any place convenient for you by the attendants near the pool, they also bring you a cape and a towel on the sunbed, and even spread it (! ). All this happens without a tip. They also guard the territory, everything that you left on the sunbed will not be touched by anyone, the guard is watching this, the only thing is that they are not responsible for everything that happens behind the fence, but just don’t take valuable things to the beach near the ocean, leave it on the sunbed near pool. The hotel does not have any living creatures, except for squirrels that run around the territory, but not in the hotel itself, they are tame, you can feed them from your hands, well, mosquitoes, but there is a raptor in the room, it saves.
At the expense of food, we only had breakfasts, so we had lunch and dinner in cafes. When leaving the hotel, go to the left, because the right is mainly for Russians and, as usual, not the best, if you go to the left, then there on the right side (you will have to stomp about 100 meters), the cook is depicted, there is a hostess from Sweden, she comes up to everyone and greets, here she has delicious and large portions, and at prices, like everywhere else.
At the expense of excursions, you don’t have to go with a tour operator, we went with Milan, tel. + 9.77 44.7771 (you can ask to dial from the reception - it's free), he drives his car, speaks good Russian, the main thing is that it's understandable, so many people don't understand at all. He travels along the route that you ask, he will tell you everything and tell you, and what is even more pleasing is that he is not imposed, he will not offer you everything. We liked the tea factory, the elephants, but we didn’t go to the nursery, because you only overpay money there, by the way, Milan suggested this, the pineapple plantation also pleased us. I didn’t like it - the spice garden (everything is very expensive, so for general development), the Buddha temple, also for general development, really nothing interesting, our churches are much more interesting, but the garden is nothing at all, if it’s hot outside, then it’s just dying from the heat. We very quickly went through all the excursions and it makes no sense for us to go with a hotel guide, where everyone would have to wait. And Milan drives well and with air conditioning the tour went very smoothly - this is very important, since the traffic is difficult, the roads are narrow, it takes 3 hours to drive 100 km. The movement is so difficult that we didn’t even dare to take a Motobike, because they drive very scary (for example, in China, Thailand and Vietnam, we took it). If he makes friends with Milan, he will tell you a lot of things and tell you, we even visited him at home, he is very pleasant to talk to and he has a good family.
And to sum up, Sri Lanka is a good country, it is not cheap, everything is not so cheap there, there is nothing to buy from clothes, good leather goods, bargain in all stores, even with Tuk-Tuk drivers you need to bring down the price. Do not forget, the main thing is that you are money for them and not all of them are as kind as they seem. Sri Lanka is for those who just want to take a break from the hustle and bustle, as there is no special entertainment there. And if there is a desire, they will plunge into another world, then you are definitely here, since they live in a completely different way than we do. It is very interesting how their children live and are brought up, make friends with someone and try to look into their house. We were visiting two Sri Lankans and we liked it! Have a nice rest!
